if this trade is available, you have to do it although i’d agree with vino. i don’t know how comfortable i am giving up starters just to get a pick. i’d definitely look to see what the value for both individually and then look at this deal as a fallback.

I’m pretty sure that our draft pick is top 22 protected for next year, so when we miss the playoffs again, we will have our draft pick. I’m not completely sure that this is true, but I posted a comment about next year’s draft pick, and that’s what was responded. The next years pick though isn’t protected. Hope the part about next years pick being protected is true.

We are living too much for the free agent class of 2010. It isn’t guaranteed we sign Lebron. Does Walsh know something I don’t? What’s the back up plan? Just stink? And we don’t have a first round pick next year either. And you know that will be a lottery pick. Thanks Starbury.

Knick Fans, New to your blog. I'm trying to understand the numbers in this Crawford trade .Where are the numbers for Zach?Is the 1st round pick worh Zach's 13,333.million/year? I like the trade if the numbers would work out.Not so much losing Crawford(has no defense),but more importanr dumping(also no defense) Zach.

No, you have to get the pick. Hell we really should get two picks. It’s the least the Warriors should do if we are giving thm two starters. What do they care if they give us cap space?

Trade Crawford to get Zach off and hope the pick comes thru…remember- if the knicks make the playoffs our pick is gone, if the warriors don’t it’s theirs, but we’ll get into a situation like the Suns/Jazz have us where sooner or later lottery or not, the pick will be ours.

They could be bad for a while…..
