Both the Oakland Tribune and Detroit Free Press are reporting that the Warriors and Pistons are talking about a deal that would send Chauncey Billups to Golden State, but the teams are apart on who the Pistons would receive in return. The Warriors are offering Al Harrington, while the Pistons are demandind Andis Biedrins, which the Warriors are balking at.
Obviously, the Warriors are desperate for backcourt help, and Donnie Walsh should jump at the chance to land Harrington, a big forward with an impressive post\pick-and-pop game.
Would Mullin consider a Crawford-for-Harrington swap?
Yes, I understand the fact that adding Harrington to an already crowded frontcourt may not make sense now. But I believe he is the perfect big man in D’Antoni’s system and can be an Amare-lite presense.

Al Harrington
Randolph will be shopped and Curry has one year to show anything, leaving plenty of opportunity for Harrington. Plus, Walsh must factor in whether David Lee is worth a huge extension.
Come to think of it, how about Crawford and Lee for Harrington and Brandan Wright?

My thoughts are that the warriors need to address the PG position before they do anything else.
I think we should keep Crawford because he’s the one guy in the backcourt that we can trust to be a legit scoring threat.

[...] You know how we feel about Harrington. Yes, he’s moody but he’s the prototype inside-outside D’Antoni big man. That said, I don’t think Curry gets it done straight up, but stranger things have happened. [...]
[...] kudos to everyone for joining us on this Harrington stuff, we would have moved Crawford for him over the summer. But at this point the guy is a great fit in D’Antoni’s offense and you can rid that [...]
[...] I didn’t believe them by any stretch of the imagination. I “imagined” Donnie’s face when he dealt the contract, and we were the first to piece together the Al Harrington connection. [...]
