Camby “Shocked” By Trade
Looks like Marcus Camby isn’t singing “I love LA” just yet. His agent, Rick Kaplan, had this to say:
“He was pretty disappointed. Marcus is a guy who really embraces the place he is (in), and he did that in Denver. He wanted to be there, and he thought they wanted him. I’m sure, eventually he’ll feel that way about the Clippers. By making this move, obviously, the Clippers indicated that they wanted him and are committed to winning. They did it right after everything that happened with Elton Brand, so obviously, they are committed to winning. He’s just a little disappointed right now, with the way things ended in Denver.”

Alan Hahn confirmed that the Knicks had interest, but Denver was not willing to do any deal unless it involved cap relief.
