Now that the summer league is over, it appears the Knicks will request that Danilo Gallinari sit the remainder of the summer. This includes the European championships that the Italian team is scheduled to participate in. The team believes the struggles in his lone game were more “growing pains” then doubts about his ability to play physically in the NBA.
Unfortunately for Gallinari he is going to have to just work to prove the doubters. The Garden crowd can get rough if things go sour. Hopefully the fans will embrace the rebuilding process and give him a chance to succeed. The one tidbit from the article is how the Knicks will be training in Saratoga this year.
