Knicks Monitoring Deng Situation

Ken Berger reports that Luol Deng has given the Bulls a two-week window to sign him to a new deal. If not, he will sign a one-year qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent next summer. The Knicks are one of the teams monitoring the situation to see if Chicago will be inclined to do a sign and trade rather then risk losing him next year.

This would be a great move if the Knicks could pull it off. Deng is an athletic foward who can score and has a great wingspan. I believe he would be a perfect fit in the D’Antoni scheme. Not sure what it will take to acquire Deng, but this is worth keeping an eye on.
