Happy Birthday to the Big Fella. There are many questions as to whether Ewing is the greatest Knick of all time. That’s up for debate. What I can say with complete certainty is that if we had a 36-year-old Ewing on this team RIGHT NOW, we’d be a 40-45 win team. Maybe more.
What does that tell you?
It tells me that the Eastern Conference sucks. It also tells me that it is an extremely hypothetical statement. You can argure systems, egos etc., but at the end of the day even an aging Ewing, by himself, could lead a team over .500.
It’s a sign of true greatness.
