News: Iggy Stays in Philly!

According to ESPN.com, Andre Iguodala has agreed to remain with the Sixers for 6 years and $82 million.  The 24 year old, freakish athlete  averaged a well-rounded 19.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg, and 4.8 apg in nearly 40 minutes per game last season.  After landing Brand earlier this off-season, the Sixers had no choice but to bring back their young stud.  Based on the deals that Andrew Bogut and Luol Deng received in recent weeks, Iggy’s deal seems pretty fair.  While he will cost them a lot, the Sixers made the right move by locking Iggy up for the long-term.  The Sixers’ core appears set for the next few years.  Perhaps they will now continue to grow into one of the premier teams in the eastern conference.
