Sean Williams 2007-08 Highlights

A lot of great discussion today about a Nate Robinson for Sean Williams deal, and I have to say I’d do it in a second if I were Donnie Walsh. It’s too tough to pass on Area 51, if the trade presented itself and it makes sense for both teams as Nate would help the nets tremendously in the open floor and in the backcourt.

Here are some highlights.

And for those who questioned his true height (some say closer to 6’9) he looks as tall as Kevin Durant at the end of the video.

I wonder if Sean Williams can play above the rim? Just kidding. This guy is a beast. I think he’s a true 6″10, but even if he’s only 6’9, the guy can jump from the Meadowlands to the Garden. I know some centers who can’t do that.

Do the Knicks have anyone who can do that? I know they have plenty of guards capable of taking and missing shots and unable to pass very well.

I would do this in a second Sean Williams will have a bigger impact than Nate will, i could care less if other fans like him because he won the dunk contest and he offers novelty value because of his short stature.

Sean is about 6’8. But with his athleticism it doesn’t matter.

Sean is a better scorer then people think. It would also help if he could stay on the floor though, Last year he would literally pick up 3 fouls in the first 2 minutes of a game. And people get mad at Lawrence Frank for benching him.

I was a freshman at BC during Williams’ last season there. Although he didnt play much because of his off the court problems, when he played he was an absolute beast. He completely transformed our team and can probably do the same for the Knicks. He is a guy that any opponent has to fear when theyre driving down the lane and at all time on the boards. I remember watching him in a game where he had 12 blocks against Maryland. I would love to see him playing in the Garden next year, he would really solidify this defense down low. He can finish very well too.

Hopefully he would be able to, Sean Williams has the potential to be the best weak side defender. Unfortunetely he’s young and makes many mistakes that often makes him look lost out on the floor. He’s also a very eager defender which after a while got around the league.

Ilan- To answer your question, the Knicks do not have anyone can come close to doing what Williams showed in this clip.
