Look For a Shootout in Philly

If the Knicks are trying implement a run and gun offense, then they will meet their match tonight in Philadelphia.  The Sixers are built for speed.  Actually, they are probably better suited for the D’Antoni system than the Knicks are.  According to Kate Fagan at the Philadelphia Daily News, Coach Mo Cheeks understands the abilities of his personnel and will have his team sprinting up and down the court all game.

I just hope that if the Knicks plan on hoisting up 34 three pointers again tonight, they will hit more than 8 of them.

Tonight’s game should be a fun one to watch, especially for a pre-season game.  The Sixers might be one of the top two teams in the Eastern Conference this season.  If the Knicks want to improve, a good competitive pre-season game against a team like the Sixers will help.
