Update: Expect Big Three to Play Tonight

by Chris Alvino on October 17th, 2008 at 12:15 pm

Just as an update to Tommy Dee’s previous post, everyone can expect the big three of Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce to play in tonight’s game against the Knicks.  According to Coach Doc Rivers in this morning’s Boston Herald,

“My thinking is they’re (his regulars) going extremely hard in the practices, and in the games they’ve played they’ve gone extremely hard. I’m going to play them probably their most minutes (tonight at home against the Knicks). They’ll play a lot.” . . .

Personally, I am pumped to see the Knicks play tonight, especially with the big three playing.  How better to guage the progress of the team than to play against the best team in the league.  Pre-season records do not count.  Rather the pre-season is meant for practicing and gearing up for the regualr season.  Tonight’s game will help prepare the Knicks for the regular season.
