No Ghost, I see it too. Nate is also our best three point shooter. Why give him up with the new 3 point system that we run?

i'm not crazy about trading nate, guys. he's our best penetrator on the team aside from mr. persona non grata. he brings spunk and energy to the team and you can see the improvement he's already bringing to the team.

trade nate and this means mardy collins is now your primary back-up point guard. am i the only one who sees a problem with this?

Duh, you're right, of course. The only 2 for 3 the knicks want to do is going the other way so we could bring back Jr. Your note above does get me hoping, Marco would be a great addition. None the less, as with most talks I don't think this one is going anywhere, not yet anyway.

The Knicks don't have room to take more contracts than they are giving away.

If the Warriors would seriously consider dealing away Brandan Wright, then the Knicks should jump on him. He's raw, but he can run, jump, and can be smooth around the hoop. The Knicks need a back-up big man, and Wright would be a nice complement to Harrington, Gallo and Chandler off the pine. Malik would then go back to his insurance forward role.

Marco would be a great addition as well. First he's Italian. Secondly, and more importantly, he can stroke it. I have not seen much of him in the regular season, but during the pre-season, he has shot the lights out.

How about Curry and Crawford for Harrington, S. Jackson and Marco Bernelli (sp?) GS gets two players that work well together and could work for Nellie as well as getting rid of two troublesome players. The knicks get... Okay, I know Walsh won't do this, I was just trying to get another Italian to keep Gallo company (actually I think Bernelli's going to be good as well).

I like Nate (we share the same middle name), but it’s possible that the moves by Donnie to keep Anthony Roberson, and not trade Zach Randolph could have been to monitor the Harrington situation the whole time.

Great point, Tommy.

Tommy I was thinking the same thing as you were about Ewing Jr. That would be great.

For the Knicks to excel this year, I think Nate will be a big piece. Frankly, I am not sure how Collins and Curry wouldn't get it done for Harrington. Personally, I would not include Nate in a deal for Harrington, as I feel like Nate will not only have more value to the Knicks, but also have greater trade value going forward.

The financial advantages are tough to ignore though. I will admit that. Potentially getting out from under Curry's deal is attractive.
