These are both phenomenal trades that Donnie Walsh just pulled off. First things first, alleviating cap space was the ultimate objective for Walsh when he took the job, and he did that today in one full swoop. Secondly, these trades do not make the Knicks worse off for the next season and 3/4, in fact, they might even make them a better team.
We will obviously have more posts to come, but this team is now officially Mike D’Antoni’s and Donnie Walsh’s. Marbury will not see the court, neither will Curry. The old regime is slowly but surely getting pushed out.
