Who is the mystery team?

by Andrew Smith on November 21st, 2008 at 2:10 pm

There are rumblings that the Dallas Mavericks are emerging as the third team in the negotiations between the Knicks and Clippers. In a quick glance at the salaries, there are a couple of names that would have to be involved. (Zach Randolph and Jerry Stackhouse). Now, with Camby and Kaman clashing together in Los Angeles, could the Camby Man be involved?

This trade succeeded in the RealGM Trade Machine, what do you guys think?

NYK receives: Jerry Stackhouse, Marcus Camby

DAL receives: Zach Randolph

LAC receives: Josh Howard, Mardy Collins

I would do this trade Camby is awsome

This would be awesome. I’d get to wear my camby jersey again. Just like when the Jets brought back coles. haha

    2010! 2010! 2010!

Any deal that gives us even a CHANCE of mproving, while also getting under the cap is fantastic. Can we get Jose Juan Barea in that deal too? I know its hard to have a ton of sub 6 ft guards on your team, but he would be awesome as a reserve pg in D’Antoni’s system.

i want no part of jerry stackhouse. why? so he and stephon can be bunch buddies? i know about the expiring contract deal but still..

  • nyknicks20107

you seriously want jose juan barea? maybe we can sign anthony carter and tyus edney too

  • Kid Tarheel

I would have a witty response if I had any idea where you were going with that comment. Barea is a tiny assist machine that plays his tail off. He doesn’t seem to be a starting caliber player- is that what you were refering to?

That deal would be good for the Knicks, but the Clippers make out like bandits.

They essentially would aquire Josh Howard and Mardy Collins for a 2nd round pick….

We traded Crawford, our best scorer, and couldn’t even smuggle a 2nd rounder out of it? We need draft picks AND cap space. It would be nice to at least get another 2nd rounder for Randolph.

  • gerard

    KEEP JOSH HOWARD!

  • nyknicks20107

i was referring to the fact that he sucks.

The trade looks good for all parties, but do think the Knicks should get a pick somewhere, probably from Dallas.
