Dreams of Better Days

Eddy Curry?  Jared Jeffries? Who needs them?  Why not just rid their contracts as well.  Where the Knicks stand now, I can honestly say that the grass is greener on the other side of 2010.  If you haven’t already read Marc Stein’s ESPN.com report for the Daily Dime, then read it now.

In the report, Stein writes:

Donnie Walsh and Mike D’Antoni are brazen enough to think they’ll have enough flexibility to try to sign LeBron, Chris Bosh and Steve Nash for Nash’s last hurrah when the bidding opens, oh, about 586 days from now.

It almost sounds like we would be facing the Argentina national team in an Olympic matchup with that kind of juggernaut lineup. I can just hear Mike Breen in two years:

Nash with the steal, kicks it up to Bosh, out to LeBron for three…… BANG!

If you are bummed about what might lie ahead for the next two years, then simply dream of better days.

In the meantime, I would like to win.

Knicks are making the playoffs this year. Squeaking in and taking the eighth spot. Mark it in your calendars.

I can see LeBron leaving, Nash and Amare maybe (D’Antoni connection). I can’t see Bosh going anywhere, he’s a small-town guy who to me wouldn’t like NY.

They should package Lee with Eddie or Jeffries and blow the whole thing out. Maybe - perish the thought - get a first rounder from someone included.

Im OK with a fun team tow watch with likeable players like Mobley.

Harrington may not be a Saint but he wanted to come here and is a local product.

Maybe DAntoni can spark TT like his last time through.

The fresh start is exhilarating.

Is Nash and Amare Joining Lebron in 2 years too much to ask? (with Rubio getting minutes as the understudy while Im dreaming)
