Didn’t know where to post and ask this so I figure here would b ok.
I’m sitting here at work bored out my mind and start to think about the future of the knicks.
My thoughts:
Ok maybe we don’t get lebron in 2010 lets say he doesnt opt out even tho he basically said he will and he waits till 2011 or lets say he does opt out and we happend to get him in 2010(hope I’m not confusing u guys)how about the free agents the following year? I’m pretty sure a lot of guys are going to opt out of loosing teams right? Is there a way u guys can give us an idea? Cuz I know even wit bron bron here the following year after 2010 its gona b what makes us the new york knicks dyansty
Diplomat- For starters, LeBron will be a free agent in 2010 only if he opts out of his current deal, which is a pretty safe bet. The same with D. Wade.
Great thoughts. I think that Lebron comes in 2010 and that some big name FA comes with him. Maybe Amare, maybe Bosh, who knows, but I really think Lebron will have a great fit with him.
There are plenty of names that are on the 2011 list, but if you ask me, I always look at young teams that have to lock guys down because they are in the midst of success. If the knicks miss out on adding a piece with Lebron, would they take a crack at swiping away Ty Chandler?
My guess is maybe, so New Orleans better lock him up.
Another mid-tier guy that can opt out after this year, but will be an unrestricted FA in 2010 if he doesn’t is Mehmet Okur. He can shoot the three as well as any center in the league. He’s not a banger like most other centers, but he can really stretch a defense out. He would be a nice fit on this team for the right price. Maybe a chance to play with LeBron gets him to sign a MLE deal?
But I was thinking more in the likes of previous rookie class example will lamarcus aldrige opt out? Or I highly doubt jeff green or KD would want to stay on a loosing team leon powe? I mean young guys like that sergio rodriguez been complaining about minutes how about him backin up duhon? There’s minutes there right?
There’s a lot of 2nd and 3rd year guys the knicks could use.which 1 u guys think we have a shot at?
