Recap: Knicks 104, Pistons 92
The Knicks came out hot and the Pistons came out flat in the first half. Despite seemingly doing everything in their power to blow a 22 point first half lead, the Knicks went on to beat the Pistons 104-92. Big shots from Wilson Chandler and Al Harrington down the stretch sealed it for the Knicks, but the real stories of the game were Chris Duhon and Q Rich. Duhon played all 48 minutes of this afternoon’s game and he played extremely well, putting up 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists while only committing 2 turnovers. Great game from Duhon.
The Knicks avoided their 4th straight loss, but the lack of guard depth is still a problem. Duhon cannot keep playing all these minutes without any help off the bench. If Duhon comes out flat or gets hurt, there is literally no one on this roster that can come in an back him up. I hope that Donnie Walsh sees this because we all do.
In any case, the Knicks needed this win today. In beating the Pistons, they reversed their losing fortunes going into Tuesday’s game at Chicago.
