GAME NOTES
- Another tough road game against a division rival, albeit one of the hottest teams in the NBA. The Knicks are 2-2 in the second game of back-to-back nights this season.
- The Nets are 10-3 since starting off the season 1-5, and are one of the biggest surprises of the young NBA season.
- Devin Harris and Vince Carter are playing at an incredibly high level and the Knicks’ help defenders will have to stop their penetration and simply hope that the Nets do not have a hot-shooting night.
- Trivia Question: Which Knicks Blog Editor called into ESPN Radio to argue with Jon Rothstein after he claimed before the season that the Nets would be the worst team in the Eastern Conference only to be quickly hung up on? Leave your answer in the comments section
EACH TEAM’S BEST 5-MAN UNIT
NYK: Duhon, Richardson, Chandler, Lee, Harrington (+ 12)
NJN: Dooling, Carter, Hayes, Anderson, Lopez (+9)
The Other Blog’s Take: From netsnotes.com
Keyon Dooling was sharp on both ends, and was shooting his heart out. Ryan Anderson and Stromile Swift didn’t get much playing time, and were still factors on both ends combining for 13 points and eight rebounds. Jarvis Hayes was also doing his thing, hitting three points at will [where was this guy when I was playing NBA Jam in arcades 10 years ago?].
When the bench plays this well, no team in the league has a chance. Yes, I said it. Want to fight about it? [sorry bad “Family Guy” reference] The only question is, can they keep it up?
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see about that.
Leave the in-game banter in the comments section. Let’s go Knicks.
