Recap: THANKS FOR GETTING TO THE LINE AL!!

Now, I’m not getting crazy here, but I felt it necessary that the team run more post stuff to allow the team to get to the foul line more. In fact, I spent all day talking about it.

So thanks Al Harrington who made it happen with his coach’s help. Al should be an elite player in this league and if he can get to the line 10 times a game, never mind 16, he should put up some sick numbers.

The Knicks, bouncing back from a tough loss last night, lost David Lee to a back injury and didn’t miss a step as they put up 121 points in a win in New Jersey.

Harrington scored a season high 39 points in 46 minutes as the team crept back to 2 games under .500.  Wilson Chandler added 24 and 9 boards and Tim Thomas arose for 26 as the team scored 64 second half points but more importantly shot 32 of 35 from the line but more importantly ripped 14 of 14 in the final frame to put the Nets away.

More free throws in the 4th than they’ve shot in their last 5 games combined.

The Knicks (10-12) return to action Saturday in Sacramento.

Great call Tommy…it was the difference tonight…Devin Harris is the man…people are reporting Mobley will retire, hopefully you’ll be right again and they’ll grab Dee Brown.

the knicks best defensive lineup is Q, jefferes, Harrington, Chandler, and Thomas. And not that bad offensively

As to the last comment, Jefferies is the worst offensive player on this team, I would much rather take a chance on Patrick Ewing Jr. Nice call on Harrington getting to the line, right on. I guess his a quick healer, I havent heard anything about that bad back since he came to NY.

Jeffries is the worst offensive player who plays regularly, but he is better than Malik, Jerome, and maybe even at this point Roberson (who is supposedly an offensive specialist).

Regardless, his height and athleticism is essential to this team’s success. Ewing Jr would be a welcome addition to the roster but I dont think he could get Jeffries minutes as he doesnt have the height to guard big men and is too raw offensively to be a difference maker.
