Must Avoid Letdown
As interesting as the future trade season might be (and trust me, no one loves it more than me), I feel compelled to bring our thoughts back to
the present. After beating the Celtics in front of the home crowd, the Knicks travel to OKC tonight to take on the 4-30 Thunder. I know that they might have a bright future, but the time is now and the Knicks can ill afford to drop the ball on this game. I still have playoff hopes for this team; and after losing tough ones in the last few weeks, this game in OKC is a must win. The Knicks travel to Dallas, Houston and New Orleans after tonight’s game. Realistically, you are looking at hopefully one win there. As a Knick fan, you can be happy with a 2-2 mark on this little road trip. But to do so, the team has to come out strong tonight.
Mike D’Antoni has to make sure this team steps on the Thunder’s throat from the opening tip. As my former high school JV coach, Coach Sullivan, used to tell my team, the Knicks have to “run them out the building.”
Also, there is a chance that Eddy Curry can see some action tonight if D’Antoni deems him ready. What better way to break Curry in than against the Thunder.
By the way, I typed in “let down” to Google, and that picture came up. I think it is harmless, but if it isn’t let me know.
