Thanks, but the Knicks would have to make the signing soon, because otherwise some other random team will sign him and keep him on the bench for a while and we may lose our chance. It seems like teams are just signing him to sign him. I'd rather have Miles on our bench than Roberson even if neither play, because of the advantage Miles would give us over the Blazers. I say cut Roberson and sign Miles ASAP!

I couldn't agree more belikemike.
I was just thinking the same thing.
We sign Miles and tell Portland that they should trade with us or we'll make them pay the 18 million left on his deal.
It's not like Miles has to play the entire game.
All he has to do is play like 3-5 minutes a game.
This could be a great advantage for us.
Of course Donnie won't actually tell Portland this but I think they will get the point.
Once we make the trade we can cut him just like everybody else.
Sounds like a plan to me.

What if the Knicks sign Darius Miles, then while attempting a trade with Portland threaten to play Miles in 9 games if the Knicks don’t get a great deal out of it? If Miles plays in 9 more games, Portland has to pay, because they got money back from when Miles filed for injury retirement a couple years back. If Miles is fit to play then Portland has to pay. Knicks could use that to their advantage. What do you think?
