I am with you... no question about it.

It is tough to find talented size in this league. Curry has both talent and size. but like you said, basketball requires much more than talent and size..... it requires HEART. Curry has to show us he has some of that.

Wow, did he really blow up to 340. As a professional athlete, that's pretty disrespectful of the organization, his teamates, and the fans.

I hope he's lost some weight since then.

I know the vast majority of Knicks fans are very down on him.

I understand that he's overpaid given what he has been producing and we'd probably be better off clearing more cap space. But I still think he could be a very efficient and decent usage scorer on the inside. If combined with the right players he could be very productive.

A couple of years ago he drew consistent double and triple teams. He just needed some good outside shooters (Gallinari?) to make that more difficut. It was like a chicken and egg situation. If there were some good outside shooters he could have gotten the ball to them once in awhile and they would have knocked it down. That would have made it tougher to double/triple him and his turnovers would have gone down and/or he would have scored even more .

On the defensive end he needed a REAL PF. He's needs someone that plays good defense, blocks shots, and rebounds to make up for some of his deficiencies.

How D'Antoni will fit him in with the current roster in his system is difficult to know.

Ok, I'll be the first to say it. I'm really hoping Curry can make a good impression tonight. I really don't want to trade Curry because I think he'll be good with Lebron and whoever else we go after in 2010.
Right now we are far enough under the cap to where we can sign 2 max players. If we trade Curry and Jeffries we'll have enough to sign 3. I think Curry will play good around the right players.
If you have Duhon, Lebron, Chandler, Bosh and Curry...that's a great line up. I never understood why we would want to trade Curry when he has the size and the offensive skill that every team with the exception of a few is looking for.
Curry is a great player..he just lacks motivation.
Get him around the right players and I really don't think motivation will be a problem.
There I said it!!!
