The Magic experiment didn’t work out because of injuries…This is sports ad that happens…that team would have been great if Hill had stayed relatively healthy…Hill was the best young player in the league at the time and what happened to him is tragic by nba standards…It was the same thing as it would be if Lebron and Wade signed…You can’t look at that and say biding your time for free agency doesn’t work…it may not work, but under normal circumstances that duo would have been a homerun

Wade was the MVP of the the Summer bar none, I know he had a knee injury but his explosion is back. Lebron is 1 Wade is 1A.

Frankman- With all due respect, if the Knicks do not go after LeBron in two years, I will be all kinds of pissed.

Why go for J Johnson and Amare, when you can go after LeBron and Wade/ Bosh? LeBron is a winner. Wade is a winner. I am not sure about everyone else, but I want to win.

But I do agree, I would prefer to get a post player and a wing player. I would not be entirely against getting one superstar and two stars, rather than getting two superstars.

Get a good defensive big man that has a good post game. Get role playing type stars like Mehmet Okur, Josh Howard…. I would not be against that.

But LeBron is a must.

I think the Knicks need to go the 1996 route and get a young pure shooter like Joe Johnson (Houston), a inside player who can play D like Stoudamire/Camby (Johnson), and a good defensive-minded role player. Don’t just throw money at LeTravel (King Crab) or DWade.

The Knicks are on the right path!

We just need to patient and hope that guys like Chandler and Gallinari develop into solid 3rd or 4th players on a team that includes two imported all stars. In the mean time, there’s always the 2009 draft.

What I am curious about is what they are going to do if both Chandler and Gallinari develop nicely (not that it would be a problem). They are similar. How do you fit them in if you bring in James? Eventually one of them may need to be traded if they both have starter talent/skill.
