Preach the word Kidd

Jason Kidd’s comments to the Star-Telegram speak volumes and give credence to what we’ve been saying about 2010.

“…Kidd said that one or more of the premier players definitely will be tempted to play for the Knicks.

“Oh, yeah,” he said. “It’s a great place. That’s one of the best stages on professional sports. When you talk about the likes of those free agents, you can have a better situation being able to not just get one, but get 2 1/2 . So we’ll see.”

(For the record, Kidd never explained how to get half of a free agent, but presumably he was talking about a second-tier player.)

When Kidd was asked if he would consider signing with the Knicks in 2010, he said: “I’m the ’09 class.”

When pressed, Kidd smiled and said: “Yeah, why not? I’m going to look and see. Coach [D’Antoni] is great. I got to know him a little this summer [with the Olympic team]. D’Antoni has a great philosophy. I think people enjoy watching that…”

This place sells itself people.
