Scouting Jrue Holiday
I love Holiday, and while I’m always leery of comparisons, I think he may be Russell Westbrook 2.0. Check out what Jay Bilas thinks about him in the video above.
There’s every reason to believe that he could be one and done at UCLA, but it may make some sense for him to hang around for a year and handle the team sans Darren Collison.
Holiday’s defense far exceeds his offense at this point, but what you have to like is that he doesn’t try and go outside the offense. NBA scouts and GM’s, including Donnie Walsh have to love that.
He is explosive, albeit a little raw, but should he step up in March we could be talking about a possible mid-first round or lottery pick. Right now nbadraft.net has the Knicks picking 40th in the second round. Sadly, the Knicks owe the Bulls a second round pick thanks to that awesome Eddy Curry trade.
It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
For further scouting reports on Holiday, head to draftexpress.com, but I’d love to see him in a Knick uniform for years to come.
