Lee did the right thing when he fouled Parker and I appreciated his altruism, but Isola got a point. As great as it was, that foul proved that Lee is not an all-star player. All-stars can't afford to foul out like that but David Lee did the right thing. He was playing well against Duncan but the refs thought they were in the WNBA or something.

'm told the Knicks would have been willing to give Chicago Jared Jeffries and Malik Rose for Hughes, but the Bulls would not do that now because they'd be taking on $13.7 million in salary and sending out only $12.8 million, putting them back in tax territory.

before you ask it..

Lafrenz is different because he is already covered under the insurance.. It takes ONE YEAR for insurance to kick in after an injury.. once the insurance kicks in the player can be traded and have it stay covered..

That is of course unless the player is a medical retirement and then he cant be traded at all. Unless there is a good faith assumption that he is coming back from the injury an the league office determines that likely hood (Van Horn case)

Chris -- Insurance would not pick it up in the case of an existing condition after a trade.

He would have to stay with NYK in order to have insurance cover the achilles injury.. Once traded the team assumes the liability if he passes a physical or has it waived.

Don't love it..but would do it if talks resurfaced. I'll also point out that I suggested a similar deal (Rose & JJ for Hughes) in an earlier post last month.

As far as Isola, I agree. What player doesn't Duncan go to work on. Isola must've forgot we don't have a legit center. Lee & the Knicks would've been even further scrutinized had they not utilized that foul to give after the Portland fiasco. Tony Parker probably would've made that floater he loves so much.
