Yes, they can’t build any momentum, nor can they close out games, but the Knicks still have a legit chance to earn that last playoff spot.

So let’s not lose sight on that fact. I am a relatively positive person, but let’s keep in mind that we’re talking about playing “well” enough to win 10-12 more games.

It’s the sad state of affairs that comes with being a Knick fan since the millennium.

Let’s take a closer look at the schedule coming down the stretch:

Granted, the team hasn’t shown you the ability to make you feel that they can win 12 games, but is it out of the realm of possibilities that these hard-fought games recently that have ended up in losses may be character builders?

Again, I’ll be the first one to actively scout players and get the inside scoop as to who the Knicks may draft, but I’m not there yet.

Not until it’s over.

It’s over, Tommy. They gave it a good run.

I see maybe 9 wins in that list.

And with only 8 home games they arent winning them out. 3 against Orlando, Back to back vs Toronto again, at Utah with at Denver the Next night.. not to mention Cleveland and New Orleans.

Doesnt mean we dont watch it out.. but it’s pretty much over.

Its over, now is the time to give the starting jobs to Chandler, Gallo, Nate, Lee and Samb. Let them have the starting job and let the chips fall where they may. If this starting team does well then you know that the Knicks have something to build on.

I don’t need to see anymore of the vet rentals players. I know what Harrington is going to give (Ball Hog), I know what Hughes is going to give (Mr. Inconsistency) and we all know what Duhon is going to give( Turn Over Machine). Its time for the Knicks to build their future foundation together. It starts with Gallo and Chandler. Lets see what Samb can give on the defensive side. With Lee and Nate the offense should be fine. Samb can definitely play a role of defensive presence for the Knicks.

The Knicks have nothing to lose but to gain experience for their young players. Which should have been the plan in the first place devlopment of the young and building for the future so the 2010 FA has some talent to work with.
