Steph Curry Talks Draft, Knicks

by Chris Alvino on May 13th, 2009 at 1:31 pm

Chris Littman of the Baseline blog had a chance to sit down with Steph Curry.  During the interview, Curry talks about his routine and his plans for the upcoming month before the draft.  He also talks a bit on the Knicks rumors from this past week.  When asked how he would fit into the Knicks’ wide open system, Curry responded saying it would give him the freedom to be able to make plays.  Also, when asked to compare his game to another NBA PG, he mentioned Steve Nash.  According to Curry, Nash is quicker, but he can shoot it as well as Nash can.

I hope he is right on with that comparison if the Knicks do take him.  Good answer if you’re trying to open Mike D’Antoni’s eyes.

I`m sure someone has made the point, but even my wife picked up on this. Stephen Curry, while a great college player, will probably turn into a fat, out of shape, malcontent with a name like that… all joking aside, he fits in perfectly with this team and would make a great comp piece for 2010 which is what we can expect at #8. If we move up to the Top 3, then Griffin, Rubio and ? (Evans) would probably be the pick.

Notice how Steph scratched his face when he was asked did he talk to the Knicks in the youtube video. I’ll leave it at that.

Hey, maybe his face was itchy LOL

Clearly – he doesn’t want us to win the lottery.

It’s nice to hear that Curry is looking to improve defensively.

I’m even almost starting to hope we don’t win the lottery. If we get the 3rd pick we HAVE to trade down for Curry.
