2008, 2009……2010

Finger point to Ballerblogger.

Courtesy of Giaps: An orange and blue bird sits idle when he is counting from 2003… once he hits 2010 it flies away… hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Coincidence? You know it’s not. Thanks Nike. (food for thought.)

Also, check out Nash talk about the possibility of playing for the Knicks on Letterman.

It’s a marketing ploy just to mess with us. Bite the bait much?

It’s absolutely a marketing ploy, but for them to play up to the hype and to go as far as an orange and blue bird? I’d like to think Nike will have a different number in mind to pay Lebron depending on where he plays in 2010.

The second video told me a lot more than the first. Nash’s sarcasm is tailor made for ESPN commentary after he retires. He’s gotta come to New York.

I agree.. Nash is taylor made for a media career.

Sinc he makes his off season home in NYC you’d think he would do what he can to get out of his deal, sign here for mid level money and make up the balance doing marketing and preparing for his career after b-ball.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Having Nash show Curry the ins and outs of D’antoni’s system would be a dream come true. Curry can come off the bench as a combo and play on or off the ball until he’s ready to take over the reigns.

well certainly Lebron and his team have some say about how he is portrayed in Nike advertisements

Even if it is a “puppet” this piece says a lot about Lebron’s mindset that he would allow the 2010 story to continue to heat up.

How in the world is Lebron and his team going to get through next year with the constant din of 2010 talk. And this commercial by his major sponsor fuels that.

off topic but Patrick Ewing signed an extension with the Magic. Once he helps howard develop his post offense and not bring the ball back down everytime he catches it under the hoop hes going to start averaging 30, 15, and 5.

Patrick Ewing’s ultimate goal is to become an NBA head coach. For now, he’ll continue to be a crucial part of the Orlando Magic’s coaching staff.

Ewing told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday that he has signed a contract extension.

“I’m coming back,” Ewing told the Sentinel. “I signed it [the contract] a while ago.”

Ewing did not get the opportunity to interview for a head coaching job this offseason. The Philadelphia 76ers (Eddie Jordan) and the Sacramento Kings (Paul Westphal) recently filled their openings, while the Minnesota Timberwolves’ situation remains unresolved.

Ewing has been seen as the primary force behind the development of Orlando All-Star center Dwight Howard. The Magic trail the Lakers 3-1 in the NBA Finals.

“I’ve told Dwight and everybody on the team, ‘Y’all better get me a championship,’ ” Ewing said, according to the Sentinel. “Winning a ring is everybody’s goal, whether you’re a player or a coach.

“It was a disappointment that I didn’t get one as a player, but to get one as a coach would mean a lot.”

Am i carzy or was ewing an assistant with the rockets when jeff van gundy was there? im pretty sure he was. so you can add yao ming to the ppl big pat helped. Yao and Dwight, the 2 best centers in the game, both being tutored by big pat. nice.
whoever gets thabeet (poor them) better bring in pat as an assistant immediately. that is after portland calls for him.

yea nash will def end his career off with the knicks and that is the exact oppurtunity for another star like LBJ or Dwade or bosh to have such a high tailored playmaker with nash, dont forget, if we draft curry, him coming off the bench learning from nash is a godsend for the knicks and curry.
