“…The Knicks will continue their search for a point guard on Monday when they work out Memphis freshman Tyreke Evans and California native Brandon Jennings at their Westchester campus.

Louisville junior forward Earl Clark of Rahway, N.J. will also work out for head coach Mike D’Antoni, as will UConn senior guard Craig Austrie and Gonzaga sophomore forward Austin Daye.

The Knicks hold the No. 8 pick in the June 25 NBA Draft and have already worked out the following point guards: Levance Fields of Pittsburgh, Jonny Flynn of Syracuse, Ty Lawson of North CArolina, Steph Curry of Davidson and Jrue Holiday of UCLA.

The 6-foot-6 Evans, MVP of last year’s McDonald’s All-American Game, was the consensus National Freshman of the Year. He thrived after former Memphis coach John Calipari moved him to point guard from the wing following a loss to Syracuse that dropped the Tigers to 6-3.

The Tigers won 27 straight before falling to Missouri in a West Regional semifinal. More.

I think curry is a perfect fit in so many ways. I think he will be perfect in d’antoni system. He has drawn comparisons to steve nash, which you see what mike did with him. He really wants to play for new york. Steve nash can possibly come to new york and ant groom him into a true nba guard. he has publicaly stated his interest in re uniting with d’antoni. Plus, for what its worth, he is friends with lebron and said that he will try hard to get lebron to knicks if they draft him. Nothing against holiday, he seems like a good prospect, but there is to many pro’s for curry.

Curry, without a doubt. The kid is a SPECIAL player tailor made for our system… Jrue is a big guard with potential in the long run, who could play good defense right away. Curry has an unbelievable shot, great leadership qualities, incredible IQ, creativeness, and an incredible work ethic and personality. Jrue is a big guard with potential in the long run, who could play good defense right away. Curry led a NOTHING team to the round of 8, plowing past my badgers on his path, and carried the team more than LeBron carries the Cavs. Jrue is a big guard with potential in the long run, who could play good defense right away.

LOL why do you keep sayin that “Jrue is a big guard with potential in the long run, who could play good defense right away.” LOL

I’d definitely pick Stephen Curry. I think Donnie Walsh would do it as well because Curry’s more NBA ready and clearly a better prospect.

Walsh will take Curry. D’Antoni must love this guy and Walsh has to take players that will work for D’Antoni. Curry’s star power will also be a factor. This team needs to start developing a true identity, and a player like Curry can start that process.

That was my attempt at a humorous way of saying that Holiday has one thing going for him, while Curry is a special player and could be a STAR for us immediately and for years to come.

    Well said, Chris.
