Starks Interview

By Tommy Dee on Jul 02, 2009, 8:35 am

We thankĀ  John for coming on the show, you can fast forward to about 20 minutes in to hear the interview. We talked about a lot of things, and I was happy that he wasn’t too upset that I asked him about Game 7. In fact, he wasn’t upset at all. We invited John to read fan memories of Starks, so please leave them below.

If you’d like to donate to the John Starks Foundation, head to www.johnstarks.com.

As a special treat for TKB fans, Knicks legend John Starks is scheduled to be a guest of Rice Balls and Dee tonight at 9 on TKB Radio.

Starks joined Tony back in April to discuss plenty of things Knicks.

being a teen in the 90′s, John was my fav … right up there with patrick
but i always said that the reason patrick didnt have a ring was probably bcuz his 2 guard was Starks, and not a Mitch Richmond…..
but right now … this team could learn alot about defense and energy, and the right way to play the game from a guys like Johny

Sorry, off topic but I just wanted to say the Bucks did not make a q-offer for Charlie Villa. I think we should pounce and deal Harrington for Rubio and Cardinal.

Pk On topic. I love Starks, he gave the Knicks some great moments and was a great leader. He’s the kind of guy I would love in the clubhouse right now. I voted for him being a class act when Houston came to town, mostly because he won 6thMOY that season and was great off the bench. But of course “the Dunk” trumps all. I loved watching that highlight before every Knicks game.

Always thought John Starks’ jumpshot was pretty when he was on.

And of course my fav memory has got to be “The Dunk” hands down.
