Update: Hedo Rejects Blazers Deal

by Myles A. Mills on July 3rd, 2009 at 9:44 pm

Tommy Dee says (Bosh is excited)…this doesn’t surprise me at all. Last night, my source told me the  chances were “60-40″ Turkoglu signed because Portland had it’s sights on him right off the bat, well before Toronto entered the mix. That shifted and last night was Portland’s chance to seal the deal.  Clearly, Turkoglu wasn’t blown away last night and is enamored by Toronto. Now the Blazers focus will shift soley to point guard.

DO NOT underestimate the impact of Rudy Fernandez in all this. Sources tell me that Rudy was FURIOUS the Blazers were contemplating Hedo, and as we’ve told you the fans have a real impact on the front office and it’s decisions and they absolultely Fernandez.

And no, this does not open up a door for David Lee, from what I’m hearing.

Via Jason Quick of The Oregonian:

“The Oregonian has learned that free agent forward Hedo Turkoglu has rejected an offer to sign with the Trail Blazers and has ended negotiations with the team.

He will leave town tomorrow morning.

More to come.”

Let the drama ensue…

WOW People Lie and Guess what Myles Alan Hahn said Jason Kidd never decided who he s going to and he won’t decide until monday at the latest.

  • HaS

    Embarrassing for ESPN.

  • KBT1615

nevermind he changed his mind they didn’t lie.

  • Magik_Trick

    LMAO

    “ESPN: Worldwide Leader In Sports”

I find that hilarous, but I guess everybody makes mistakes..lol

Oh and this is VERY bad news for us, because now they’ll be aiming for David Lee, hopefully they like Andre Miller better though…

  • slambam

Yeah i think this probably means Miller is Portland-bound.

  • Chris Alvino

Wow that is surprising. I just do not see why Portland would give Lee such a big deal. Maybe Shawn Marion can fit out there?

Yeah I think Miller. will go to Portland, but I think Portland would like to S&T for him. I think Blake and Outlaw for Miller is a decent start to a package. What about the rights to Mills, Blake and Outlaw for Miller. That gives the Sixers more outside shooting help, a suitable starting PG and the rights to a young promising point guard.

  • HaS

I have reached a verbal agreement to sign with the Knicks.

No wait I have rejected the Knicks deal and I’m ending all negotiations with the team. I’m leaving on the red-eye out of town.

  • Myles A. Mills

imagine if this happened with lebron in 2010. one night espn reported he reached a verbal agreement with us and knick fans celebrate throughout the streets of new york and then the next day he pulls out and either stays with Cleveland or goes to New Jersey.

    I would cry.

  • KBT1615

I would cry harder becuase I would have a HUGE headache and have bad news on top of it.

  • slambam

Just thinking about that scares the hell out of me.

  • bob go knicks

LEBRON is sitting back watching how the KNICKS cant get anything done, and deciding to stay in cleveland….QUOTE FROM LBJ “wow, the KNICKS are signing MORRIS ALMOND? WHAT A GREAT MOVE! i feel like i did when they signed ANTHONY ROBERSON,,,”i thought that they really had the championship sewed up” “i almost threw in the towel” of course it didnt workout that way, but now i hear yer gonna sign ALMOND, more competition for MVP” “ill only work harder” DONNIE WALSH really must have some juice in the NBA DUHON,ROBERSON,ALMOND,.DARKO…THIS COULD BE THE FIRST 6 ALL-STAR TEAM LOL GO DONNIE GO

  • KBT1615

lol if your counting Cleveland is doing worse than us at getting things done they wanted Ariza, Artest, Villanueva, Anthony Parker.
On a serious note why are you such a expletive? Im sure others are thinking the same but they dont want to argue or they don’t want to sign up.

  • bob go knicks

to you, donnie walsh cant make a mistake! is he an uncle?why do you have to agree with every move he makes?do you work for him?..obviously trading Z-BO wasnt as difficult or as impossible to do as some media guys made it out to be ,cuz hes been traded AGAIN! seems the hard part is getting good players in here ,not gettin them outta here

  • KBT1615

I don’t agree with every move BUT I trust every move he makes hoping it makes the team better and I haven’t been let down yet. That started of course after he signed Roberson over PJ and Von Wafer.
