I would do this trade in a heartbeat. But, if the Knicks did this, there's really no place for James to play and I could see the Knicks either buying him out or releasing him. Although that would be kinda foolish to let all of that money go to waste without trying to save at least some of it in a buyout.

There's really no room for James, but getting him would help for next year and thus allow Donnie Basketball to be able to make some PRE-2010 moves that makes sense..... Signing point guard Andre Miller is one of the moves Donnie Basketball should make, YESTERDAY already.

Please Donnie stay away from the Geritol Group!..... Kidd and Hill..... yeah..... OVER the HILL too....

Eh, he's more of a 2 than a 1. With that aside, I don't like his game really. I feel like we'd be better off signing cj watson than trading for afflalo. The problem is that afflalo doesn't excel at anything. He's ok at best in every facet of his game.

No because they actually want Jeffries to keep. It's not about the cap for them.

If the knicks are not able to get James, does it make sense to pursue Arron Afflalo from Detroit? He is apparently on the block and he will only add 1.9 mil to the cap next season.
Is he someone who would excel in SSOL? He is relatively cheap right now.
What if, we sent Jeffries and Hughes to Washington for James and Miller. Traded for Affalo and then shipped Miller, Nate and Chandler to 'sota for Rubio and Cardinal.

Assuming 'sota would want Miller back, this a face saving trade for Kahn. He would have essentially traded Randy Foye for Wilson Chandler and Nate. That would have been a solid trade for him.

For the Knicks this is the equivalent of Hughes, Nate, and Chandler for Rubio. I would do that trade in a NY minute. Especially if we sign Hill to play the 3.

Not sure who we trade for Affalo, as Detroit would want someone they could cut and not have to count against their cap, but I'm sure we can swing this somehow.

Who is playing behind Duhon as of right now? James would be our backup PG.

The deal makes sense. The Wiz traded Songalia, who was a backup at both forward spot. They also just dealt for Miller and Foye for their backcourt.

im so tired of hearing about contracts, when are we gonna get some PLAYERS? id like to win a few before i die,get involved in some fierce rivalries(like KNICKS/BULLS) (KNICKS/CELTS) Like the old days. Who ever thought, that to become a sports fan,you would have to be a financial wiz to do so? just play some friggin hoops, get some players in,and leave the money stuff up to the suits.ANYBODY CAN UN-LOAD....I WANNA SEE SOME LOADING

Great trade for the Knicks, how exactly does it help the Wiz? Jeffries lacks any identifiable basketball skill, remember. Usually when every fan on one team wants to do the deal, it's not a fair deal. They're gonna take an extra year of a bad contract to get rid of another bad contract. I don't see it, but will be very pleased if this happened.
