Hill signs…Check Hahn’s Tweets

by Tommy Dee on July 11th, 2009 at 6:21 pm

As we told you last night, the Knicks were on the verge of signing Jordan Hill, which they did today. Also, to catch live updates since your boy is heading into wedding week, check our boy Alan Hahn’s tweets.

But make no mistake, even though the wedding bells will be on Friday I’ll be handling game coverage all week…

That’s how I roll.

&Once again TD, congratz on the marriage

Thanks Magik, Now I can finally see J Hill play.

CBS Sports is reporting that the Raptors are on the verge of signing Jarret Jack of the Pacers to an offer sheet. Now why couldn’t we have done that? That guy burned the Knicks in almost every game we played the Pacers this past season. He creates his own shot and is a good perimeter shooter. Instead we are chasing 36yr olds who just use the Knicks for more money out of their own teams. Its time to get aggressive New York! Wake up Donnie!

  • charlie

    Congrats, Tommy. Enjoy it!

  • Myles A. Mills

signing somebody because they burned us? everybody burned us, and he only averaged 13 points. We have Toney Douglas and Nate if he signs the QO. I don’t see where Jack fits in.

  • Koosh

Yes I would sign Jack over Douglas and Nate. Douglas will not be a starter anytime soon and needs time to prove himself. Nate is an inconsistent guard who gets easily distracted by his own ego. Jack scores. HE CAN SHOOT THE BALL! THE LAST KNICK THAT I TRUSTED SHOOTING THE BALL FROM THE PERIMETER WAS ALLAN HOUSTON! Burning the Knicks is not the condition that I would use to sign Jack. However, you tell me who on our roster is a consistent shooter who can create his own shot.

  • Myles A. Mills

    Danilo Gallinari, Al Harrington

  • coocoo4knicks

    Congratulations TD.

  • Koosh

I have not seen Danilo create his own shot. He needs someone to penetrate the middle and kick the ball back out to him on a corner. He also has obvious health issues that need to be resolved. Al Harrington is a decent shooter, but highly inconsistent. He should also avoid hitting the backboard during the closing seconds of games. I still say we should go after Jack.

  • KBT1615

Myles, this is one of those people who haven’t seen Toney play.

  • Koosh

I have nothing against Toney. You are right. I have not seen a lot of him. However, I am pretty sure he will not be starting or will be in the regular rotation anytime soon. I do wish for him to be the perimeter defender that we desperately need. However, I would say Jack is a more established player and he can make an immediate impact. Nobody will leave this guy open on the floor, which in effect will spread the defense out and allow a Duhon or Harrington to drive the ball down the lane.
