We already have Nate for 2.9M. With some more coaching and some growing up by Nate, he could be as good or better than Jack IMO.

I understand Mike D'Antoni is claiming Duhon is his man and that there is nothing going on with Andre Miller. That being said, if Miller is in play we cannot afford to keep both Miller and Duhon going forward. Miller is better then Duhon but he is older. Duhon cannot play around the basket. Miller can't shoot from the perimeter. Both are good distributors.

Kirilenko trade is an interesting one. Rumor has it Utah has offered to take McGrady for him. We could give up Larry Hughes and Cuttino Mobley's insurance contract. How would Utah go about absorbing part of next years 17M salary? K is a D'Antoni type player!!! Defense and shotblocking is just what we need.

Considering the free agent market next year and the amount of money they already have invested in Brand, I'd say probably not. They probably want to free up as much cap space as possible to bring in another guy into that rotation (prob another big man).

Greatman: They drafted Eric Maynor to back up Deron. Plus, why does everyone want boozer? He's not a significant upgrade to Lee. Obviously he does play better defense; yes, but his stats are overly similar and honestly, he's two years older than Lee. In two years, Lee could easily be on boozer's level.

KBT: In theory, the Jazz still have Millsap. The blazers signed him to an offer sheet yesterday. That means the Jazz have until next saturday to match the offer sheet. And I don't think Lee and Mobley's contract is enough. Besides the fact that it doesn't work salary wise at all, they would want more than that.

Also, just so everyone realizes, Boozers a free agent next year. If we re-sign him, we won't be able to sign lebron as cleveland will easily be able to offer more money than us, so again, why does everyone want him so badly?

I would have gladly taken jack for 5 mil a year...he's getting better yearly and is a great shooter...even though he might not be the point of the future, he definitely could have been an excellent role player for us.

_avi_ Lee will languish in Sloan's doghouse if wound up in Utah for his horrible defense. He may even end up warming the bench or getting spotty minutes sort of like Andrei Kirilenko. A trade for AK47, if they'd be willing to eat some of his contract could be nice, since we're into reclamation projects (Darko Milicic).

He is a stat stuffer when he is at his best and getting minutes. He is an excellent defender, shot blocker, rebounder and decent passer who would probably flourish in D'antoni's SSoL. Problem is he would probably would be coming off the bench which he doesn't like doing there already. Hmmmm... scratch that. What do you guys think?

They'd have to et some of his salary though, his contract and that number is ugly.

They don't have Milsap anymore...and that 8th and Chandler one doesn't apply to this because they don't want Boozer anymore.
How about Lee and Mobley's contract?
Aren't the Jazz one of those teams paying Luxury taxes?
