Just setting this post up for in-game chatter.  Enjoy the game.  Remember, it is just a summer league game….

… who am I kidding, I have to remember that myself.

Enjoy.

    I hate Directv

  • Chris Alvino

Good to hear Clyde and Breen again. I actually sat next to Breen at the Mets game last week.

    Almond looks good.

  • Magik_Trick

Almonds looking good, but for the first 2 possesions he seemed selffish

Jordan Hill is hustling, but not doing too much else

  • Cheech

How bout clyde’s button down??? man, i missed him! but ill be sick of “postin and toastin” by january.

  • KBT1615

I really Hate DirecTv now…CLYDE’S COMMENTATING Awwwwwww,.

  • levy858

Nice to see Jordan Hill get 2 or 3 offensive boards early. Also I like Toney Douglas’ ability to run the floor and control the ball.

  • KBT1615

WOW He must be a huge Ballhog

  • Magik_Trick

Joe Crawford wants a contract, hes working hard out there

    KBT1615, you are the man!

  • Magik_Trick

On MSG they showed some quick footage of Eddy Curry in SL practice, definetly looked a bit thinner, and looked light on his feet & was running well…

  • BenFarber

Morris Almond is a great shooter. I know that Gallinari is also, but since we just traded QRich, do you think they’ll keep Almond around to provide that perimeter scoring the way he did? If not, they can just dump him mid-season a’la Anthony Roberson.

  • KBT1615

Thanks, And By now in College Toney Ghostface Douglas would 15 points it just shows he wants to be a true PG.

  • KBT1615

Probably I mean he is a 2 guard the position where we are weak at plus he wouldn’t be undersized Like roberson was.

  • Myles A. Mills

Hill is EXTREMELY active but these chucks almond and carter are taking away shots. he rolls after he sets a pick but they never look for him. they also need to let him post up more. He’s had some tough rolls but nice moves.

Douglas got hacked a couple times, but I like his speed and aggressiveness. This is premature, but I do think he’s a point guard.

  • Magik_Trick

As of now it looks like Joe Crawford & Morris Almond will be competing for 1 of our final roster spots, Almond has 12, Crawford has 10

  • barnaby8787

    My first half thoughts:
J.Hill looked active but didn’t show me much.
Toney looked extremely quick and had a few nice passes. I liked what I saw out of him.
J-Crawford looked pretty good. Prob will make the team again as a backup.
Almond reminds me way of much of Roberson last year as he can put up points in bunches, but not do much otherwise.
Tskitishvili actually looked good defensively, but he’s slow on his feet unfortunately, but for a 11th or 12th guy on the team, a guy who defends like he does might not be a bad choice.

I think if I blink, Crawford and Douglas will have ran up & down the court…. twice.

  • Magik_Trick

Yeah, dont let Hills 2 & 4 confuse you, hes running the floor well, and is very active

His lone 2 points came from a nice 15-20 foot jumper

They should run more plays for him during the 2nd half

  • Magik_Trick

Hill missed a shot badly & D’Antoni said “Woahh Jordan, keep it in the gym”

  • KBT1615

That 7 footer Tskitishvili has RANGE. Im impressed.

  • KBT1615

HAHAHA I know what shot he talking about..Nice Turnaround fadeaway on the next play though.

  • CircleLimit4

Looks like a typical SL game, lot of dribbling and driving, not a lot of passing.

  • JRSlim

Time to play a broken record… Jordan Hill is very raw but has potential.

  • craigamus83

Hill sorta reminds me of Drew Gooden.

  • Bruno

Am I the only one who saw a Ewing #3 in a Memphis uni?

  • Magik_Trick

I was impressed with Douglas, 11 ast, 8 points, shot terribly though, 2-13

Hill hustled well, 13 points, 8 boards

&Just like TDee tweeted, Hasheem Thabeet seems like a bust
Hill was intimidated by him and scored on him a few times, and for someone with a 7’6 wingspan, he should be getting more than 6 rebounds & 1 block…

  • Magik_Trick

Yeah, lol Daniel Ewing, no relation to PE

  • Cheech

I agree with Myles, its premature but Douglas looks like a PG, which is nice to hear. Very premature, but id be ok with him and duhon running the show this year. I know andre miller is good, but forget him, hes old and we need to play douglas to see what we got.

Hill lunges alot. hes gonna be in foul trouble all year, so maybe its good if curry can get some minutes. There is no way Jared Jeffries sees any court time if the roster doesnt change.

I really dont want to see Hughes at the 2, i feel like he will chuck too much and stunt the growth of the youngsters. It would be great if wilson could work on his passing and dribbling and become a legit 2-guard. it would open things up in the front court and would allow us to play him and gallinari together. Plus i think with danilo’s basketball iq, creativeness, and shooting, we could live with wilson at the 2, bc danilo will pick up the slack.

Im way more excited to see Danilo healthy for the whole year than i am to see Hill. Its like we have 3 rookies!

  • Myles A. Mills

11 assists, no turnovers? Lets goooo toney

and i dont know what he was doing shooting wise. he was taking bad shots and when he had good looks, he wasn’t shooting with his usual form. probably nervousness, but the kid can score.

he’s a point guard. i hope hill can dominate tomorrow against detroit, no big men over there.

  • Myles A. Mills

thinking of danilo makes me smile

how can you not love him?

  • Cheech

Me too! i saw him and his little step back against zaza and i couldnt help but smile! when mike breen asked him how his back felt after the surgery, the look on his face made me much more at ease.

  • Bruno

    Oh ok lol
