Congrats Johnny Hoops

TKB would like to congratulate John Andariese who will be inducted into the NYC Basketball Hall of Fame September 24th at the New York Athletic Club.

“…John Kresse, a former Lou Carnesecca assistant who enjoyed a record-setting 24-year career at the College of Charleston, was selected in the coaching ranks, while Madison Square Garden’s John Andariese will be inducted as a “Contributor” to the Game of Basketball.

Spencer Ross, the nationally-known Play-by-Play announcer who has called virtually every sport known to man and a long-time Madison Square fixture, will receive the NYC Basketball Hall of Fame Trustees Award, the highest honor one can receive from the organization as a non-player or coach…”

Both Ross and Hoops are two voices that took me through many a game growing up as an impressionable sports fan, and this honor is well-deserved. As far as Hoops is concerned, I always considered him incredibly educated and the perfect partner for any play-by-play man from Marv to Gus.

So from TKB, join me in congratulating Hoops, and Ross as well,  on this great honor.

Congrats to Johnny Hoops indeed. Haven’t been on all weekend, can’t believe that Sessions got a way for only 4 mil? I am very pissed at DW, this team will maybe win 30 games this year and we still have no PG of the future. I truly can’t believe that Kahn robbed every young PG away from us. I HATE KAHN!

Congrats to Johnny Hoops and Spencer Ross, two class acts and NY Legends!
Kind of makes you wonder why MSG Suits have stopped using the smooth, professional and classy Ross on radiocasts. The Knicks could use some more of that in their organization.
