Game Notes
This lineup is my prediction for the starting lineup when the Knicks open up in Miami. I love the size at the 2 and 3 with Chandler (6’8) and Gallo (6’10.) I like the shooting ability at the point guard, shooting guard, small forward, and power forward positions. David Lee’s even shown that you can’t leave him completely open. I love everything offensive about the unit. But defensively is a different story. Didn’t we learn last year that David Lee can’t be a starting center against the likes of, ahem, Kevin Garnett? Al Harrington isn’t the lock down defender he was when he came into the league, and Chris Duhon gets eaten up by opposing point guards with ease. Maybe D’Antoni puts Jeffries on Rondo again; That worked last time. Regardless, tonight will be an interesting game to watch. Look out for the chemistry (defensively, specifically,) and the cohesiveness of each unit. It’s still extremely early, so don’t get too discouraged by a loss. Boston probably won’t play the big 3 much anyway. As always, go Knicks, and post all in game comments or any questions here.

He's been a Knick fan as long as he can remember, and 02-03 was the last season he could remember in entirety. He hopes to one day see the Knicks in the playoffs.
