Game Notes

The Cavs visit Madison Square Garden for the first and only time this year, and so do Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson. Obviously all eyes are on King James, but the Knicks are going to have a whole lot of problems guarding the Cavs front court. The Knicks have tons of matchup problems with this team. Shaq at 50% gives the Knicks headaches, and Chris Duhon made TJ Ford look like Mark Price, now he has to handle the “all-star” Mo Williams tonight. The Cavs lost to Chicago last night at home, giving them their second home loss of the season, one more than they had all of last year. The question looms: Is this team good enough to win a championship? I know it’s only six games in, but the Magic and Celtics look a lot better. Hell, the Hawks look to be on equal ground. Obviously any team with Lebron is going to compete, but is competing going to keep Lebron in Cleveland? Time will tell.

You guys were all “giddy” and excited to see the Knicks get embarrassed like this?

    Sigh…

Again, why is this on ESPN?! Maybe at halftime they’ll switch to Suns vs. Celts.

OMG who’s that guy with the dreadlocks? Ooooh that’s our lottery pick! _’antoni finally got the message. Play the kid. Especially when you’re this bad already, he obviously can’t make the team worse.

    Disgusting. Disgusting.

What a pathetic basketball team… you know, I used to love the Knicks for their toughness. I loved the team that would push Jordan around, play tough D… unfortunately things didn’t worked our way against those Bulls, but I’m still proud of that team for what it stood for.

Now I have to watch these morons wander around on the defensive end, doing nothing while LeBron is having his way with us. I’m fully expecting our players to join the crowd and cheer for James.

On the other side of the court, of course, all we do is chuck 3 pointers. Yeah, I turned off the tv, it’s a 25 point blowout right now, I guess I’ll find out tomorrow they beat us by 50 and James scored 70 pts.

    Pathetic.

Duhon needs to be traded ASAP.

    I mean really.

Just trade his @ss for Adam Morrison or Shawn Bradley. He’s just a DISGRACE.

And why were the Knicks freezing out Gallo? They KNOW he has to show something tonight.

On a positive note : Maybe D’Antoni will play Jordan Hill more from now on.

Still they have to play harder. And they know that Gallinari has to show something for the Knicks, he actually plays relatively well when he has the ball in his hands (obviously better than Jeffries, Chandler, Duhon and Harrington). Let the kid go to work.

Nice to see the Knicks welcome Bron-Bron to the Garden by quivering and rolling up in a fetile position.

Why would he come here at all? It’s not worth taking the money if you are going to be surrounded by this crew.

There are more stiffs in Knicks unis tonight than are in the NYC morgue.

Also, can the Knicks players stp the lovefest long enought o play.

Real funny when James drained that 3 and he and Larry Hughes start yucking it up going up the court. at least pretend like you give a crap.

Maybe he meant FUTILE? LOL! That offensive and defensive display of effort was definitely futile in the face of LeBron.

I cant take this offense. It is just jacking up three pointers or the first open shot you find.

There is zero running and gunning. zero cutting to the hoop. zero creativity from the point guard, zero movement and zero intensity.

Jordan Hill looked awful and Toney Douglas looked like he has a long way to go.

Lee cant create his own shot and withers in the 4th quarter.

    Donnie has to do something.

Hill didn’t blow me away but he could have gotten 5 mins in the 2nd half too.

_’antoni laughs too much in these post-game interviews. He says “hey, they (Cavs) didn’t miss shots!” No sh*t! Why would they when you play 0 defense? He still looks at things from an offensive perspective no matter what.

Donnie has got to figure out a way to get a legit PG someway somehow.

Hill look pretty fluid out there, he should hopefully get some more minutes.

Dont worry he can draft Brandon Jennings hes projected to be there when the Knicks pick 8th ohhhh wait that was last year.

They need to show that fire more…We need to figure out why The Real Knicks dont play until we are down by 20 in the 4th quarter.
Hill needs JJ’s minutes….Plain and simple. Hes showed everyone that we need to hang on with him.
Douglas is not pulling up three’s anymore and is going to the basket that another good sign.
Cavs lose this game without Lebron…..Easily.

Tripucka was totally right, he Knicks have no pride whatsoever.

I’m willing to give Gallinari a pass even though he needs to attack the rim more often. Larry Hughes and – to a certain extent – David Lee played relatively well. But the rest was absolute garbage.

“They were just making shots” excuse is not a valid excuse by the way, D’Antoni’s coaching has been terrible since the start of the season and I’m far from being a D’Antoni hater. But it is what it is. Did he really laugh during the press conference? Rationally why respect a coach who finds a way to laugh after a blow-out loss? He has to step up.

Donnie Walsh has to make something happen – we desperately need a young point/combo guard like Bayless,

He laughed at least 3 times and added a few one liners. He just doesn’t get it I guess. If players were laughing during post-game interviews (and making jokes?!), how would that come off?
