I’d suggest signing some of the Harlem Globtrotters-the clown Princes of basketball-oh wait we already are clowns.

The Knicks are already too much like Washington Generals anyway.

Is the honeymoon over for “NO D” antoni and DW? I think so.

How soon do we get the deep discounted ticket promo codes for $10 a seat? I call Monday morning.

I’ll judge Donnie Walsh in 2010 though.

But he has done a terrible job so far (trading Crawford and Randolph was brilliant though).

i wouldnt call it brilliant,it was something that obviously had to be done though,an idiot could have pulled it off, plus it didnt make our team any better,it just made it worse.there coulda been a better way to do it.we got rid of contracts ,but we didnt get equal value on Z-BO

he took 7 shots the entire game (gallo) he should take 20,not lee…efff this.im getting so tired of yapping, the knicks season is over,DONNIE WALSH SHOULD ROT IN HELL….DANTONI WAS THE WRONG CHOICE OF COACH……DUHON THE WRONG PG JEEZIZ DANTONI,IF YOU THINK THAT GALLO IS THE BEST SHOOTER THAT YOU EVER SAW,TELL YOUR FRIGGN TEAM TO PASS IT TO HIM,AND THEN……TELL GALLO TO SHOOT IT……IF I TOLD THEM THAT ….ID GET COACH OF THE YEAR

WHY DONT THE NEWSPAPR GUYS ASK DANTONI the right questions?like “hey mike ,how come david lee takes 20 shots a game and gallo only takes 7″? the ball should go through GALLO.GALLO GOT KNICKS PLAYER OF THE GAME taking only 7 shots

    Chris Duhon :

3 turnovers 1 point against the Bucks.
1 turnover 0 points against the Cavaliers.

More turnovers than points for the second straight game. Just sayin’

            Duhon is garbage, its rediculous

But Lee is nice offensively, and we know what hes capable on the board…but simply put, he cant defend NBA Centers, Bogut sh!tted on him tonight, if ‘Antonis not gonna play Darko at C, we need a real NBA level Center

I’ll say it again, Donnie Walsh needs to trade Chris Duhon AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. He’s not playing well obviously and he just doesn’t give a f*ck about winning. He’s a DISGRACE, PERIOD.

    Facts :

    1. Chris Duhon : More turnovers than points scored for the 2nd straight game.

    2. Chris Duhon : 20 minutes, – 29 points, 0-4 from the field and 3 turnovers / Toney Douglas : 17 minutes, – 3 points, 6-9 from the field and 1 turnover.

The rookie (who’s far from being a stud) played harder than he did and he’s supposed to be our leader???

Lol i love all the hate on duhon now. I was saying he was out of shape and a waste the whole off season and i got bashed for that with responses such as anyone who plays that many minutes will break down. mucha, i know you felt the same as i did. anyway, please start douglas and jordan hill. I really dont care if we lose as long as our core guys, Gallinari, Hill, Douglas, and Wilson develop. PLEASE USE AL HARRINGTON, DAVID LEE, NATE to get teams to take jeffries, he’s a disaster. top 5 worst players in the nba.

    Hill
    Lee
    Gallinari
    Chandler
    Douglas

    • Mucha
      Nov 07, 2009, 11:17 pm at 11:17 pm #

I’d start Douglas but I don’t know if Hill’s ready to start – he needs to get more minutes though, that is obvious. And I’d keep David Lee because he really has a nice offensive game (Jeffries and Duhon are so bad that nobody’s talking about David Lee’s D anymore ROTFL) but my man, you’re totally right.

      Nov 07, 2009, 11:19 pm at 11:19 pm #

Don’t forget Curry! If Donnie can clear out both Jeffries and Curry, he is God. Unfortunately for us, Lee or N8 can’t be traded until December and both have their Bird-year rights, still, I believe (not that it’s like they wouldn’t wanna get outta here, anyway, though).

  13. Mucha
    Nov 07, 2009, 11:12 pm at 11:12 pm #

    Another fact :

    Gallinari : 5-7 FGM-A, 15 points.

    Harrington and Chandler : 2-17 FGM-A, 8 points combined.

I don’t criticize the fact that they (Chandler and Harrington) were not shooting well – sh*t happens – but the fact that they both took more shots than Gallinari is mind-boggling. Either Mike D’Antoni’s blind or he has no control over his players.

    • dino2008
      Nov 07, 2009, 11:27 pm at 11:27 pm #

or he doesn’t care…. who the hell laughs when we are getting blown out. we REALLY need to boycott, only thing is i feel bad boycotting because of Gallinari. I would throw Hill into the fire…. i don’t care if we lose by 100. i would much rather that happen with our young guys developing then to lose with guys like hughes, duhon, and jeffries i cant stand any of them.

i am praying that there is a team desperate enough out there come the deadling that would be willing to take on curry by getting david lee and chandler or something. i would do ANYTHING to move curry and jj with the exception of trading Danillo, Jordan, and Toney. If trading curry and jj means we have to give up lee and chandler and al for crap talent and we then lose 65 plus games, i wouldnt care one bit. this season is over already just please do whatever it takes to get this morons out of here.

once again, we are the GREATEST fans in the world there is no reason why we should have to watch below average talent starting for us a la duhon and hughes…. they are horrible.

Hughes is actually playing (relatively) well now and he’s a professional. He’ll have his share of bad games but he plays defense and I respect his professionalism. But the other veterans are garbage – Al Harrington was one of my favorite players when he was playing for the Pacers and he was clearly my favorite Knick last season… but he’s playing like d-leaguer right now.

The Knicks don’t deserve Gallinari. He might be the only reason I’m still watching the Knicks.

This is BRUTAL! I can’t believe what’s happening here. I agree with everyone. Trade everyone and start the young guys Gallo, Hill T.doug. Let the Rookies and Gallo develop. This team stinks. JJ, Harrington and especially Duhon have 2 Go!

  17. Mucha
    Nov 07, 2009, 11:52 pm at 11:52 pm #

Trade all the veterans except Larry Hughes and David Lee – hopefully get a pick or Jerryd Bayless in return. I couldn’t care less about Derrick Favors, Cole Aldrich and John Wall – because we suck regardless.

I don’t want to name them anymore, it’s so repetitive. But some veterans are cancerous. The point guard and the $7 million contract in particular.

By the way, Mike D’Antoni has to step up. I like him but his attitude is not acceptable.

    Nov 08, 2009, 12:59 am at 12:59 am #

Just to recap some of the craziness in this thread:

Toney Douglas better than Duhon? Duhons having a horrible start to the season but to say TD is better because he had more turnovers than points twice is a little harsh. The PG is supposed to distribute. To bring up these stats in games he has two or three assists is just dumb because for a PG to averaging 2.5 TOs a game is excellent.

Next, Harrington is not only providing the only resemblance of leadership in the garden, but he’s averaging 20 points a game. The guy had an off night. Relax. There are 82 games. The morning after every loss are you guys really gonna come on here and bash the guy who had a bad game?

Start Jordan Hill? The same Jordan Hill who got hit in the head with the ball on a fastbreak and who couldnt receive the ball in the post? The guy showed some potential but history shows throwing big men into the fire is not the way to go if they are not ready and this kid is clearly not ready. If Duhon is still playing like this 40 games in maybe we bring up Douglas but by that time Nate will be back and Douglas will be back on the bench.

Lastly, enough with the Gallinari is getting frozen out. I love the kid, and I want him to succeed so bad, but the guy isn’t getting many shots because he simply can’t create his own shot and doesn’t do a great job of cutting or getting open outside of behind the 3pt line – hence, most of his points are 3pters. 24/34 of his shots made are 3pters. That is a pretty telling stat.

You guys who praise Donnie for trading Randolph and Crawford for nothing are the same ones complaining now that the team sucks this year and saying that the honeymoon is over. You can’t have it both ways. By making those moves, Donnie was conceding this season for 2010. Everyone knows this and thats why our coach/GM combo is not going anywhere even if this team is going 0-82. This was SUPPOSED to happen. Deal with it.

    • Mucha
      Nov 08, 2009, 1:49 am at 1:49 am #

Listen I don’t criticize players when/because they can’t knock down shots or when/because they get into foul trouble. Sh*t happens. But I expect them to play hard – I don’t criticize NBA players when they do that even if they lose the game.

I’m not a Toney Douglas fan, I think he’s overrated but he still played better than Duhon whose lack of leadership/motivation is scandalous. I couldn’t care less about statistics, but it looks like Duhon has a bigger fish to fry.

And I’m sick and tired of watching Harrington go 1 on 5 and automatically lose the ball when he tries to dribble a la Skip 2 My Lou. I love the guy (I may be his biggest supporter) but his selfishness is just pathetic, period.

“You can’t have it both ways”? What are you talking about? Because we respect DW’s plan means that we can’t criticize the way he has built the roster? What’s your point? The honeymoon is over with Mike D’Antoni – yes – the fact that he laughed during the press conference after a blow-out loss is unacceptable.

      • jcmoney
        Nov 08, 2009, 2:06 am at 2:06 am #

What I mean by “you can’t have it both ways” is that by trading Crawford and Randolph, Donnie was saying “we are going to loose badly for two years and then have FA money in 2010″. He basically said so in various press conferences and interviews. You can’t say “Donnie made great moves in getting rid of the Crawford/Randolph contracts”, and then act like this is some sort of shock that we are loosing this year. D’Antoni is acting like all the players – Whats the point of even getting these players to buy into my system? Whats the point of teaching them the offense?I can just sit here and watch because I know that I am going to be here next year and none of them will.

Yeah, he laughed after a blow out. It was a horrible game. You can’t expect him to go out there fuming. It was a dumb loss in the beginning of the season. The truth of the matter is that if you agree with the 2010 plan, you can’t really judge any of it until then.

        • Mucha
          Nov 08, 2009, 10:25 am at 10:25 am #

          I disagree.

I don’t criticize the players because they are 1-6 but I criticize the lack of professionalism. It’s just not acceptable. The fact that we’re a losing team doesn’t surprise me, but these guys are playing like amateurs.

“The truth of the matter is that if you agree with the 2010 plan, you can’t really judge any of it until then”

          ??

I criticize the players, the coach and Donnie Walsh’s roster (the draft)… These factors have nothing to do with the 2010 plan. Which means that I CAN judge them despite the fact that I respect the plan.

          • jcmoney
            Nov 08, 2009, 2:03 pm at 2:03 pm #

If you want to criticize D’Antoni for having the team not prepared fine. If you want to criticize Walsh’s draft moves, I guess thats OK, even though it’s kind of ridiculous to start yelling about a pick 7 games into the season and obviously hindsight is 20/20.

But, I just dont see this as the players fault. They are put in the weirdest position ever, they are all essentially rent a players, playing for a team thats not really trying to win this season and a coach who has done nothing to prepare the team for the season. DWs plan was: gut the team, lose this year, get 2 max FAs next year. To call for the heads of all these players is just ridiculous when we were supposed to lose this year.

          • Mucha
            Nov 08, 2009, 3:37 pm at 3:37 pm #

These guys don’t get McDonald’s money – I expect them to play hard, that’s it. Who cares if they are put in a weird position, they have to follow orders and play hard.

Considering that they are terrible on the floor – either D’Antoni has no control over his players or he doesn’t give a sh*t if they want to Jackson Pollock 3-pointers and play 0 defense.

The coaching staff AND the players should be held accountable for their shortcomings, they are paid to play basketball… but in fact they look like circus seals.

Iverson is available allegedly. Why don’t they sign him for to a 1 year deal. Both parties will be happy as he’ll get to start and the Knicks will have a star that can open up the lanes and do the pick and roll. Is he ball dominant? Yes. Is he an upgrade than what we have on the floor. Absolutely. I say do it. Save face. Show LBJ how good the core group that’ll be here in 2010 can play with a star player on the squad.

I seriously thought about this after reading that article. I sat for about 10 minutes weighing the pros and cons. I was pretty much on board for 8 minutes until I realized that at 34 years old, he pretty much just duplicates Nate’s skill set without the same speed. My original thinking was why not, he’s just gonna be able to shoot the lights out and then and, in some rare chance he revitalizes his career, we resign him at a discount and have another attractive piece for a FA to be. But then thinking of a 35 yr old AI made me think against it.

Tell that to the Pistons and Grizzlies – Granted, this is a different situation, but I still dont think just because he was one of the greatest players of all time he automatically adds something to this team. Granted, I wouldn’t be upset if we got him, it’d be fun to watch.

Toney still needs to figure out how the offense works and get some more reps, but his physical tools dwarf anything duhon could ever do for us. He can push the ball, he can beat people off the dribble, and he has the ability to create a shot for himself.

It might be sloppy at first but what does Duhon really do? He can’t do anything at all; it disgusts me.

Chandler is absolutely awful, i don’t get it. He freezes every time he gets the ball. I feel like I;m watching spacejam.

Let toney, hill., galo, and Lee play together and trade everyone else away, NOW>..

chris rocks and he’s correct! My jumper is streaky but I drive to the hole oh so nice and pride myself on D, assists and rebounds…I’m 33 but in top condition…sign me CHRIS…well seriously, keep the plan going. We will bid on whoever we want and hopefully we’ll keep donnie and d’antoni. Historically, people get the axe…as the goat, but even if they do…we’ll still know that they had to do what was best for the NYK! So, if Dantone and Donnie BBall get the axe…we’ll thank them when our resurrected ‘Bockers feature LeBron or Bosh or DWAde, etc… and remember…the ’11 class is sweet also my friends. AND I still like our young team we have now. Sleep on that Knicks fans :)
