Game 10: Knicks vs. Warriors

by Chris Alvino on November 13th, 2009 at 6:21 pm

Where: MSG
Watch: MSG
When: 7:30 PM

Starting Lineups
Knicks (1-8)
PG – Chris Duhon
SG – Larry Hughes
SF – Wilson Chandler
PF – Danilo Gallinari
C – David Lee

Rest of rotation: Al Harrington, Jared Jeffries, Darko Milicic, Toney Douglas, Nate Robinson (?)

Warriors (2-5)
PG – Monta Ellis
SG – A Morrow
SF – S Jackson
PF – K Azubuike
C – A Biedrins
Rest of rotation: S Curry, CJ Watson, M Moore, C Maggette, R Turiaf

Quick Thoughts:

Be prepared to watch a brutal defensive basketball game, but in all likelihood a high scoring event. If there is a team out there with potentially more drama than the Knicks right now, then the Warriors might be that team. Stephen Jackson is still trying to talk his way out, much in the way Harrington did last season.

To me, the spotlight tonight will be focused on the young players, especially Stephen Curry. The kid wanted to be here, and the feeling was mutual. If not for Don Nelson, Curry would be playing in the home whites tonight against the Warriors. Oh well. Try and enjoy tonight’s game, but in reality, there is a chance you might feel embarrassed watching the level of basketball being played in the Garden.

Let’s go Knicks!

    147-137 Knicks in regulation.

It boggles the mind that D’Antoni continues to think all this team needs to do is start hitting shots.

  • Jeff Cykiert

I don’t think MD thinks that, biggie… I think he knows we suck and he’s just trying to be professional. he knows what types of players he needs in order to make this work and he knows he has exactly zero said players. Never in professional sports will a coach say “man we just don’t have the players, we suck, so stick around till next year.” He’s not stupid.

By the way, why is Toney back out of the starting lineup. SIT DUHON….. ugghhh. I want to see Toney and Hill practicing the pick and roll for the rest of the season.

  • Jeff Cykiert

The little glimpses of hill have been nice ones. This team is in dire need of a guy who is big and strong enough to legitimately defend big men, but agile enough and with a good enough stroke to actually stretch the defense. Look for hill to start making his way into the rotation within the next few weeks, hopefully. If not, we’ll probably have to wait until Jeffries is gone.

  • BiggieSmalls

How about saying we need to defend better for 48 minutes?

Or would that hurt someone’s feelings?

  • JustinCharles

I think the big thing to watch out for is the fast break here. Golden State leads in the league in fast break points as well as fast break points givin up, and the Knicks have been pretty lethargic this season on the fast break. Hopefully Golden State will give them the opportunity to get some easy points and force them to pick up the pace.

Maybe playing against a fast pased, SSOL style offense will encourage the Knicks to play more like they are supposed to. Duhon isn’t getting anyone to run around, maybe Monte Ellis will.

Also, I’m all for Hill getting minutes, I think he’s going to start to play more soon, but I don’t think I have been encouraged by the few minutes I’ve seen him play. I still think the kid is going to be a player some day, I just think he’s insanely raw and it really, really, shows.

  • HaS

That’s the answer to everything in his opinion. “Hitting shots” he says it all the time. I swear it pisses me off.

“Hey Mike, you gave up 130 pts tonight, what do you think happened out there?”

“Well, we went through a cold stretch there where we couldn’t hit shots and didn’t execute on offense. We’re getting good looks, we just gotta start hitting shots, but we’ll keep pluggin’ away.”

    FOH

  • HaS

“Hopefully Golden State will give them the opportunity to get some easy points…”

    *blank stare*

  • jaknicksfan

I just want to Win a game! Hopefully we will play all 4 quarters and finally win 1. Hill should be playing and growing and Douglas should be starting with Hughes but as long as we win I won’t complain. Enjoy the Game and Let’s Go Knicks!

  • HaS

He might say it Big, he might. He’s only done 91 postgame interviews, let’s not give up hope.

    Let’s go Knicks…

  • JASONHAYES

What a disgrace that this team represents New York! Look at the energy an focus in these guys eye, its non-existent. I dont like the body language, on this team. The chemistry is not there!!!! They should be looking at Golden State as victims, sacrificial lambs for that matter. But instead they are just going through the motions, this is gonna be a loooooonnnngggg season.

P.S Where the hell is Stephen Curry? Is Donnie Nelson not playing him because he’s at the garden for the first time, and he knows the love he’s gonna get. Why take him from us and not use him?

  • JASONHAYES

Another double digit deficit for these idiots, im done with these f@#$tts!!!!

  • JASONHAYES

David Lee is pissing me off!! He does’t contest anything! Knicks are gonna get blooownn out! These guys have officially given up on the season, you can see it tin there eyes. WHERE IS THE ENERGY! ITS SOOOOO FRUSTRATING!!
    NO PRIDE
    NO HEART
    NO CONFIDENCE
    NOTHING……

Those Jerseys should be ripped off their backs, what a disgrace they are!

  • Boots

Duhon just ran into his own pick (Lee) and fell down. Unbelieveable!

  • BiggieSmalls

Warriors shoots 60 something percent in the first half and run all over us..
    Coach D.. What happened?
“Well if we could just hit some shots I think we can keep up with them.

  • BiggieSmalls

yeah but all we have to do is hit some shots.

  • BiggieSmalls

Duhon should have taken that shot with 22 left on the clock.

  • HaS

But wait, it doesn’t matter because none of these players are going to be here and then we’re gonna sign LeBron James, Joe Johnson, Amar’e Stoudemire and Wilt Chamberlain, plus Galinari will be like Dirk Nowitzki on steroids by then!

The Knicks will win 9 championships in the next 5 years! Guaranteed!

    DECLARE!

  • JASONHAYES

The warriors have 36 points in the paint! The knicks should take notes and follow suit. The warriors have no inside presence, they’re going for layups and dunks. Knicks should really pay attention, but im wasting my time mentioning this.

  • Boots

What ever happened to the old, “He’ll play hard because he is in his contract year” axiom?

Three quarters of the team should be playing their collective asses off.

  • LJohnson2k8

Has and Biggie yall are killing me lol well I came into this game after hearing the turmoil with GS that we got this especially since they were beating me in the head with last years game when the Knicks scored the most in a half, Lee and Duhon killed the Warriors and got career highs. But the realistic side of me says that the Knicks with no D are gonna have their butts handed to them. Well folks reality is what it is and the Knicks can’t stop a firehyrdrant. They had 5 highlight reel plays and dunks that you know ESPN will expolit at our expense. Gallo played well but like I said in other posts its like he is allergic to drivin to the hole. This jab step then pull back behind the 3pt line thing I called before it happened. The rest of the team including TD look confused. I hope for a comeback. Thats all I can hold to lol

  • BiggieSmalls

hey man.. i predicted a win tonite.. i thought they would hit their shots.

  • HaS

Haha well we can’t let the Knicks be the only comic relief.

Good to see hill finally snatch off those warmups! Let the kid play damn! I don’t care if he stinks up the joint (the rest of the Knicks already are) let him learn in real time action. Baptism by Fire!

  • CircleLimit4

Were you guys not around for preseason?

    …… no shots

  • LJohnson2k8

I have a question I heard for the longest that Lee is playing out of position guarding other teams 5. But whats the excuse for have Ellis and the rest of the midgets from the wizard of oz drive the lane without fear of Lee blocking the shot. How many layups do they have? I could have sworn they scored all of their points via layup. Hill looks good. But again no D in the lane.

  • HaS

Darko must be reflecting on his life right now.

He’ll be playing in europe next year.

  • HaS

I’ve been waiting 4 years for Lee to at least give a hard foul, but he just gives them the layup and the bonus free throw most times. He has THAT down to a science.

  • HaS

Some of the other bloggers here will probably argue that Lee isn’t athletic enough to give a hard foul either.

  • EQ1217

IMO, those first 8 minutes or so of the 3rd quarter was the most exciting time of the season.

Good to see Gallo with a little pep in his step today, the last 2 games his rebounding numbers have been good

  • EQ1217

You my friend are on top of your game tonight

  • HaS

Oh wait, I thought we weren’t allowed to bring up preseason?

  • HaS

Instead of Mercedes Benz, I think The _’antoni Show’s sponsor should be EZ-Pass.

  • LJohnson2k8

This teams disgusts me. They allow the warriors to score 4 straight points and actually shoot them out of the zone. So it comes to this if you cant guard man to man go to a zone and if the zone dont work go back to man to man the Knicks are comical. And TD is chucking a little too much for a pg.

  • HaS

Matter of fact EZ-Pass should see how much they’d have to pay the Dolan to paint the key with their logo.

  • HaS

Well the Knicks are up to 50% do you think _’antoni will say that they couldn’t hit shots?

  • Boots

4th quarter and five minutes after he entered, Gallo still hasn’t seen the ball on offense. Coach has him nailed to the corner. How about running a play off a screen or pick for him? Hill was setting some good picks in the third.

Now, after five minutes of rebounding and playing some good D, he’s on the bench without a shot. This looks like a pre-season rotation.

  • HaS

It won’t be an official Knick game until they go down by 20. THEN the Knicks will mount their comeback!

  • LJohnson2k8

I tend the wonder is it defense Dantoni is worrying about with Gallo or his back still bothers him on the low. I dont know I am starting to see a pattern with Gallo sitting out long stretches in games.

  • HaS

How dare you question “the greatest coach in the world”?!!

  • HaS

Maybe they misheard and thought someone said they should play like asses?

  • HaS

Where are all those posters that said this team would win 40+ and challenge for the 6th seed?

    Show yourself!!!

  • http://none knicks2win

another lose game for the Knicks. Yuppeeeeeeeee!

  • http://none knicks2win

    this is sickening.

  • JASONHAYES

Is David really tryna fight Steph Curry! What a coward. NOW YOU WANNA BE TOUGH? REALLY DAVID? AL HOFORD RAPED YOU, AND YOU SAID NOTHING. STEPH CURRY SWATS YOUR STUFF AND ALL OF A SUDDEN YOUR TOUGH? IM DONE WITH THAT CAT, SHIP HIM OUTTA HERE TONIGHT!

  • HaS

LOL Lee is punk. Pick on the 6’3″ guy? Don’t be mad because he muffed your layup the way you should be doing their team.

  • LJohnson2k8

Come the F**k on Lee gets mad at Curry for havin his shot blocked? Are you serious you wanna talk tough to a rookie who is probably 100 lbs soakin wet and is loved by the NY fans and you want to act tough becuase you got your shot blocked by someone half his size? I am done with Lee and the Knicks for real I felt embarrased by that alone much less the game.

  • dino2008

on the bright side Gallinari is God and Jordan Hill looked much better tonight.

  • HaS

They would have had a better chance if they had gotten down by 20 in the 1st half.

  • JASONHAYES

WHAT A COWARD! 6’9 250 PICKS ON 6’3 165…..SOMEONE SHOULD SNUFF DAVID IF THEY EVER SAW HIM IN THE STREET!

  • dino2008

lol we would be lukcy to win 20. how sickening it will be to see the jazz with the top pick

  • LJohnson2k8

LOL at Has and Jason yall spot on tonite for real. Lee is a punk. And I dont see anybody saying 40+ and playoffs. They will be lucky to make the NIT.

  • traps9

    LOL

  • JASONHAYES

I SWEAR I HAVE NEVER FELT THIS WAY B4 ABOUT THIS TEAM. BUT IM STARTING TO HATE THE KNICKS. THEY ARE A WASTE OF MY TIME. I SEE WHY SO MANY FANS GIVE UP ON THEM. I WAS EMBARRASED BY THOSE SAME ACTIONS AS WELL!

  • http://none knicks2win

bring back isiah thomas , he is better than m dantoni.

  • Boots

I’m sure that he still feels his back. He probably loses his legs after a while as re-habbing after surgery is very different than the off-season strength and flexibility training that he needs. He is nowhere as fluid as he was in the “Italian tapes.” You can see that late in the game he starts shooting with his arms; no legs.

Defense-wise, he is getting better. Hey, if Coach can put up with Lee’s D, he can live with Gallo’s D.

  • dino2008

no he isnt. that is a complete joke. its not mikes fault the only bright spots are the young and developing guys, Gallinari, Hill, Douglas.

  • JASONHAYES

I HOPE EVERYONE SEES THAT THEY ARE COMPLETELY IGNORING GALLO, ON PURPOSE I REALLY SAW THAT TONIGHT. ITS DISTURBING, HOW BLATANTLY THEY’RE IGNORING HIM.
D’ANTONI DID EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO. HE WAS DESPERATLY TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING. HE PLAYED A TWELVE MAN ROTATION TONIGHT. IM SURPRISED CURRY DIDN’T COME OUT THE BACK.
STICK A FORK IN THEM GUYS, THEY’RE DONE!!!

WAY TO GO JORDAN HILL, TD23, AND GALLO! THATS ALL….EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD BE ON UPS OVERNIGHT DELIVERY TONIGHT!!!

OH, AND WILSON CHANDLER IS TRAAAAASSSSHHHHHHHH!!!

  • BiggieSmalls

    Line of the year

  • HaS

Hey man, coach is breaking team records! 1-9 baby!

I can’t wait to see The Mike D’antoni Show tonight, I hope it gets syndicated!

  • JASONHAYES

I CANT BELIEVE HOW DISGUSTED I AM….ESPECIALLY WITH DAVID LEE. THAT WAS EMBARRASSING! THE LOSS WAS NOTHING COMPARED TO THAT. THAT REALLY DID IT FOR HIS REPUTATION. IM ROCKING WITH THE HAWKS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SAESON….JUST WANNA SEE MY BOY CRAWFORD GET INTO THE PLAYOFFS. I’LL BE BACK WATCHING IN 2010.

  • LJohnson2k8

Chandler is not trash Jason, he is a budding all star and one of the peices that will lure Lebron or Wade here remember when Mike Walsh said this before the season (sarcasm)

  • http://none knicks2win

    20? maybe 10

  • BiggieSmalls

That is typical of the Lee apologists.. Lee cant guard ANYONE.

He goes up against Al Horford and gets creamed.

6 foot three Monte Ellis drives the lane like he owns it.

only 7 fouls in the first half and something like 30 plus points int he paint.

    Says it all..

Lets watch D’Antoni talk abotu making shots.

  • JASONHAYES

D’ANTONI LOOKS LIKE HE SHOULD BE ON SUICIDE WATCH!! POOR GUY HAS NO SOLDIERS TO SEND TO WAR. AND HE’S GONNA GET ALL THE BLAME FOR THAT.

  • JASONHAYES

I WAS ABOUT TO GO OFF ON YOU IF YOU DIDN’T PUT (SARCASM)……LMAO

  • LJohnson2k8

Did Mike actually say that he started Jordan Hill in the second half becuase he said that he saw zombies out there lol only the Knicks!

  • HaS

Hey at least he’s not laughing this ti… oh scratch that. He managed one chuckle, but he’s cracking less jokes!

    Gotta love the guy.

  • JASONHAYES

    LMAO…MIKE D CALLED THEM ZOMBIES….LMAO

  • JASONHAYES

YES HE DID….WOW. HE’S DONE WITH HIS OWN TEAM….GOTTA FEEL BAD FOR THE GUY…LOL. THAT WAS HILARIOUS.

  • LJohnson2k8

LMAO it cant get worse but I know it can. Why no one is asking why David Lee was tryin to fight Stephen Curry for blocking his shot? Are the announcers scared?

  • JASONHAYES

BE ON THE LOOK OUT PEOPLE, BEST BELIEVE DONNIE WIL B ACTIVE ON THE PHONES THIS WEEK. NO NEED TO KEEP THIS DISGRACE TOGETHER, AND WORRY ABOUT CHEMISTRY, ITS OVER. IM ALMOST POSITIVE PEOPLE ARE GONNE GET SHIPPED OUT OF HERE SOON. REAL SOON.

  • CircleLimit4

Hahaha that was a good one.

  • JASONHAYES

THEY PROBABLY DON’T WANT TO BRING IT UP, BECAUSE ITS TOO EMBARRASSING TO SHOW.

  • HaS

Lee is the team’s blue collar tough guy hustle player. (sarcasm)

I’ve always said the media and the fans always give Lee a pass.

  • CircleLimit4

But who else will score in the paint for us?

  • BiggieSmalls

you mean the pre season when we beat the only team that is worse than us and the Israeli team and every one thought that was a precursor to a playoff run/?

  • pleasepleaseplease

It is however his fault to give major minutes to underachiving vets. Why the hell did Hill not see the floor before tonight? Why is Duhon still out there for 30 Minutes? Why doesn’t he just lock away Al Harrington’s shoes?

He also needs to manage this team’s shotselection and run more plays for Gallinari. And I won’t even start to talk about the defense.

btw: Isiah was one of the worst things that ever happened to this franchise. Whoever argues for his return has clearly lost his mind.
That being said, D’Antoni does NOTHING to inspire confidence in his work.

  • Boots

Chandler is a player whose growth is being stunted because he is useless standing out on the arc ten feet from Gallo andbecause he can’t play with Harrington. His game faltered and he went into a coma as soon as Harrington came to the Knicks

The Knicks offense is being stunted is being stunted by Harrington. He is trying so hard to be the man, the other “big “free agent” the knicks sign this summer that he is destroying the flow of the offense by trying to take every shot.

They are all deferring too much to Harrington.

On a good note, Nate actually passed the ball to Gallo tonight . . . once. He got it to Gallo on the move at the top of the arc where he stopped and popped the trey.

  • JASONHAYES

THE REST OF THIS YEAR SHOULD BE FOCUSED ON, CLEARING MORE CAP SPACE, AND ACQUIRING SOME SORT OF DRAFT PICK. ITS SAD HOW THE SEASON IS WASH, AFTER ONLY THREE WEEKS. DAMN THATS DEPRESSING.

  • BiggieSmalls

Not very hard to defense a guy that just stands in the corner and waits for the kick out pass.

  • JASONHAYES

LOOK AT THAT, NO MORE PLAYERS OTHER THAN JORDAN HILL, AND TONEY D, HAD THE COURAGE TO SHOW THEIR FACES AND GIVE LAME EXCUSES. ESPECIALLY THAT COWARD. IM NEVER GONNA CALL HIM BY HIS NAME AGAIN.

  • Boots

They don’t ask critical questions because Dolan will can them. Dolan allows no in-house criticism.

He learned it Stern who handles criticism of the league the same way. Talk nice or no access.

  • http://none knicks2win

    I am just being sarcastic.

  • HaS

Nah I’m pretty sure the refs were freezing him out Big.

  • http://none knicks2win

    this is for dino2008

  • JASONHAYES

ITS NOT IN HIS PERSONALITY TO BE ASSERTIVE, HE’S A SPACE CADET. JUST LOOK AT HIM. PLEASE FELLOW KNICKS FANS, I URGE YOU GET MEDIOCRITY OUT OF YOUR BLOOD STREAMS. WE HAVE EXCEPTED AND MADE EXCUSES FOR MEDIOCRE PLAYERS YEAR AFTER YEAR. LETS, REALLY USE OUR BASKETBALL SMARTS THAT WE ARE KNOWN FOR, AND BE REAL ABOUT THE PLAYERS WE HAVE.

IM GONNA SAY IT AGAIN CHANDLER IS TRRRRAAASSSHHHHH!

  • LJohnson2k8

No Jason whats depressing is how the Knicks won only one game which was against the Hornets and then the Knicks dont win again. Byron Scott get fired and his teams has more wins and I hear Al Trautwig say, “was the loss to the Knicks that bad he got fired” lol the Knicks are better than Comedy Central teams fear losing to them for fear of embarassment. I think if I played on an NBA team I would be afraid to lose to them and my team could be winless lol

  • Boots

“Not very hard to defense a guy that just stands in the corner and waits for the kick out pass.”

No player does that on his own.

That has to be the Coach’s offensive plan for him. He didn’t play that way in Italy. D’Antoni has to have odered it, just as Chandler has to stand ten feet away form him on the arc.

Gallo needs the ball on the move. More like poor coaching strategy if you ask me.

  • JASONHAYES

I SAW WILSON LIKE 6 TIMES THIS SUMMER. HANGING OUT IN CLUBS, AND CHILIN WITH JUELZ SANTANA. HE’S CAUGHT UP WITH BEING FAMOUS, AND NOT CARING ABOUT NOTHING ELSE.

  • CircleLimit4

D’antoni deserves a chunk of the blame but he’s hardly the scapegoat. This just the product of numerous circumstances that are stacked against us.

  • LJohnson2k8

You are right Jason why two rookies who dont play that much well Tony Doug is now and Hill just got the most time he had in a game in total for the season in this game’ why they had to answer questions while everybody bounce like thats that bs i feel bad for the rooks being left out to dry.

  • JASONHAYES

A COUPLE OF COACHES GOT FIRED AFTER THEY LOST TO THE KNICKS. LOOK AT LAST YEAR. REGGIE THEUS, AND EDDIE JORDAN. I THINK THERE WAS ONE MORE BUT I CAN’T REMEMBER THE NAME. I KNOW ITS LIKE THE WORST SIN IN THE WORLD IS TO LOSE TO THE KNICKS.

  • JASONHAYES

AND AL HARRINGTON IS SUPPOSE TO BE A LEADER? ALL BARK, NO BITE.
HEY I JUST CHANGED THE KNICKS 2009 CAMPAIGN SLOGAN FROM “DECLARE” TO “ALL BARK, NO BITE”.

  • dino2008

    hes coming off of surgery………

  • LJohnson2k8

Jason lets keep it real Al was talking leadership becuase he thought he was gonna be a starter and get as he say buckets (eyes rollin) and by talking togetherness he figured Donnie and Mike D would look at that and say we need him next year. When he started to become the human vacuum and hog the ball started charging into teams, turnin the ball over etc Mike D said enough and benched him. He got embarrassed by that and he probably said to himself how can I be a leader when I was starter but now I am coming off the bench. At that point his bite was reduced to a weak as hell bark.

  • dino2008

I think Clyde put it best when he said the Garden used to be a place of hostilty but teams come in eased and no longer with fear =( sad but true. He couldn’t have said it any better.

  • dino2008

STOP BLAMING AL HARRINGTON IT IS NOT HIS FAULT THAT HE MOST BECOME A LEADER BECAUSE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GALLINARI, HILL, AND DOUGLAS THE TEAM SUCKS. al harrington is what he is, you cant expect him to radically change….. ask don nelson.

  • JASONHAYES

PLEASE GOD HELP ME. WILL THERE EVER BE A TIME WHEN I LOOK AT A KNICKS GAME AND FEEL CONFIDENT AND PROUD? THAT MY TEAM WILL PUT UP A FIGHT, AND BE RESPECTED AND FEARED? WILL MY TEAM EVER BE AMONGST THE ELITES? AND NO LONGER A DYSFUNCTIONAL JOKE? PLEASE GOD HELP ME!!

  • JASONHAYES

YUP….HE SAID IT WELL. THE GARDEN IS LIKE CLUB MED FOR ALL THE OTHER 29 TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE. IT NEVER USE TO BE LIKE THIS….

  • HaS

Hey I won’t have you guys questioning “the best coach in world”! (^this is an actual quote)

  • JASONHAYES

IM NOT SAYING I’M BLAMING HIM, BUT WHEN YOU SAY YOUR GONNA BE THE LEADER OF THIS TEAM. THAT APPLIES ON AND OFF THE COURT. WHEN YOU’RE PLAYING GOOD AND WHEN YOU’RE NOT. LEADERS STAY CONSISTENT IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY! DON’T TALK THE TALK IF YOU CAN’T…………YOU KNOW THE REST. A MAN MUST ALWAYS STAY TRUE TO HIS WORD, BECAUSE THATS ALL HE HAS.

  • HaS

Step awayyyy from the “Caps Lock” button.

  • JASONHAYES

SAME APPLIES TO DUHON! DUHON CALLS HIS MATES OUT, AND THEN DISAPPEARS. ON THE COURT HE’S HORRIBLE, AND OFF THE COURT HE’S A MUTE, NOW.

  • JASONHAYES

Sorry bro….its my way of yelling…lol. Im just really venting!

  • HaS

Well maybe if people put their Stephen Curry signs down and stopped the Kobe MVP chants or the We love you LeBron posters away long enough to boo the other team it might not be seen that way.

  • Jeff Cykiert

Jason, you didn’t expect this current roster to be the team you just described, did you?

Didn’t we all know this was going to happen once donnie came in and started shipping off bad contracts?

I know some people, including myself, tried to believe that this terrible roster could muster the strength to compete, but i mean its just not happening. This was bound to happen, we have no choice but to wait.

  • JASONHAYES

You’re right, that probably was his mind state, but you have to be responsible about what you say. Especially to us knick fans we are not stupid, and will call your bluff! You can not fool a knick fan, like you might fool a Utah fan.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    didn’t see the game
but i see it’s another ass whooping

well the knicks are officially off to there worse start in history rite?

well i see gillan are a good game DOUBLE DOUBLE CONGRATS GILLAN ON YOUR FIRST CAREER DD

    well guys what u say?

like i said b4 danni boy will go down as the worse coach in knicks history

    15-20 game tops
    danni boy gave up
an most the players gave up with his bullshit coaching

is that so hard to tell?

enjoy the rest of the season..

  • HaS

I’s all good mang, I feel your pain.

  • JASONHAYES

Nah i clearly understood we would not be an elite with this roster. I just thought we would really be a sleeper. We played pretty good ast season, and like you I was pissed that we didn’t make many moves this off-season. But I believed since the main core was still intact, the chemistry would be high, and people would know their roles and want to prove the haters wrong.

Im looking at the Lakers vs Denver game, and I am jealous. I long for the day when I can watch the Knicks in a HEAVYWEIGHT battle, and they will be contenders. I really hope this 2010 plan works…..sigh.

  • JASONHAYES

You missed the worst of all. Coward lee, tried to pick a fight with Steph Curry, because he blocked his shot.

  • JASONHAYES

This would be a great tattoo, or New York Knick t-shirt!!!lol

  • JASONHAYES

But you can’t blame them. What else do they have to root for? They have to get there moneys worth some how? The Knicks just aren’t and haven’t been cutting it.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

damm forreal cuz i look at the box score an i see the onlything curry did was block som1′s shot so he blocked lee

    damm it was that bad….

  • dino2008

    I agree 100 percent.

  • dino2008

    with Has

  • JASONHAYES

It was bad! Steph only played two minutes the entire game. Towards the end of the game lee went up for a lay up, and curry came from the blind side and blocked it. Next time down the court you see Coward lee in his face acting tough, like he’s gonna do something. Al Horford took his man hood the other night, and you saw none of that from the coward, so he picks on a 6’3 170 pound “soak and wet” guard.

  • JASONHAYES

Here it is curry’s block on lee at the 2:58 mark, and then watch the coward come out of him.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78ecIULVF6Q

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

that’s the first time i see LEE get tough
he was embrassed to be block by a smaller guy think he 4got is half black.lol

  • Bob

  • nyknicksfan

Does anyone else think Dlee is a coward (lol jk only about 50 posts about it) but anyway can someone tell me why Dlee cant play defence its not like he was gaurding D howard or even the bird man come on if your going to play the five and ask for 10 mill a year you have to play better then a poor mans oakly(and yes he isnt even close to as good as oak couldnt think of any workhorse rebounder) you aren’t worth the 7 mill your getting hell i rather have chris hunter at least he would try, hell why does coach play him if the pick n roll isnt working and he isnt even trying maybee if he put darko to just stand in the paint or hill that would be better then lee moving when someone drives to the basket

  • Bob

jordan hill sucks and is a reminder of what lousy mgmt the knicks have

  • Bob

its also his fault that nobody plays any goddam defense

  • Bob

i wish dantoni had taken the bulls job

  • Bob

where the hell were you guys this past summer, when i was sayin all the shit you are saying now?christ, you guys were ripping me a new a–hole for being too negative

  • Bob

i wish people would stop saying that we played pretty good last season, and thatduhon played pretty good last season after we traded zach and jamaal we sucked and so did duhon!

  • nyknicksfan

I think Curry may beat lee in a fight if lee fights like he plays defense lol

Whether you’re a fan of the Dells or the 4 Seasons … let’s all sing …

    “Oh What A Night” …
    - mid-November before twenty 10 …
    - 1 and 9, another on the chin …
    - D-Lee’s pissed off, what a night !

OK, apologies to the Mighty Dells & the Jersey Boys.

The 2 highlights for me from this latest disaster?
    1) J-Hill gets some run (HaS your WISH was granted … someone gets hurt – JJ – so that Hill leaves the pine).
    2) Trade for (this year) or sign (next summer) CJ Watson to replace
    Du-NON …

  • wei chin

Let me say that I have had tickets for over 10 years I don’t care what anyone says about the Isiah era, this is rock bottom.

    D’Antoni is terrible.

    1. We don’t run an offense, it’s predicated off of spacing and ball movement. Just making shots is going to help????? How about putting in a real offense?

    2. Defense – pathetic.
Toney Douglas was the ACC Defensive player of the year if I’m not mistaken and when we cut it to 84-80 that stupid @$$ coach goes into his quazi 2-3/2-1-2, what happens next, down 14 again.

    3. Defense Principles – HOW IS OUR PHILOSOPHY TO SWITCH ON ALL PICKS. I’ve been to every game this year, and just about every game last year, THIS IS TRUE,
WE SWITCH ON EVERY SCREEN. Yea great Toney Douglas is a great defender but who cares when goddamn Mikki Moore sets a pick for Monta and Toney gets switched onto Moore, who the hell do you think is going to get the rebound if Monta misses? Can someone by the way look up how many offensive rebounds we gave up tonight? Mike D’Antoni makes me sick, everything about him. Offense, offense, offense, make shots, make shots. PLAY SOME DEFENSE. Switching on every pick might work if everyone on the court was Gallo’s height but I think the smart thing to do with Duhon, Toney, and Nate on the floor would be to FIGHT through the picks or go under, hedge the bigman out, anything. It really is pathetic.

I can’t even go on right now but right now all I want is for Donny to absolutely blow this team up right now, Hughes is playing decent, Al will come around and hopefully Eddy can show signs of life that someone would take a chance cause no one is taking Jefferies I can tell you that, how many times has a ball hit him in the hands and gone out of bounds this year?

Shoot me. I don’t even want to go on.
Just let the kids play out the season and pray donny can get us a lotto pick through a trade. Toney, Jordan who showed flashes tonight, Gallo and Will. Everyone else should be a goner.

  • wei chin

and you guys are bashing Ill Will? It’s cause his dumb@$$ coach plays him like he’s Leandro Barbosa. THIS IS A DIFFERENT TEAM MIKE.
I’m a diehard but I hope something happens, maybe WIlson gets traded and he becomes an absolute STAR cause he will be one day.

  • Bob

its about 85% of the peeps who post on this site

  • Bob

he wasnt tryn to fight curry,CURRY was talkin shit to him

  • Bob

then how come hes always open

  • CircleLimit4

Your memory is extremely selective. Yeah the same pre season where we went 5-2 and beat the Celtics and defense was the word on the court.

  • CircleLimit4

“2) Trade for (this year) or sign (next summer) CJ Watson to replace
    Du-NON …”

That was my montra all summer.

  • CircleLimit4

“Let me say that I have had tickets for over 10 years I don’t care what anyone says about the Isiah era, this is rock bottom.”

Isiah had better players and was his own GM, yet still somehow managed to make the Knicks a bigger laughingstock back then than they are now. At least now we can say we are rebuilding. We were already “built” for the worst of Zeke’s reign.

Also, when D’antoni is sued for sexual harassment and his protege PG threatening to blackmail him, then maybe this would be a legit conversation.

  • CircleLimit4

Clyde did say “I’m not sure what Lee is mad about.” during the replay.

  • CircleLimit4

Haha then how did Dolan let “matador” and “swiss cheese” defense become part of the Knick vernacular?

  • CircleLimit4

If Walsh isn’t on the phones now then he better be all over them be December 15th.

  • blackwood

WOW WOW WOW!! Layden is the godfather of all this mess!! Do you even remember the team Zeek inherited?? Let us remember who was the Gm that traded Camby and the 7th over all pick for mcdyess!! Who gave Houston 100mill!! wetherspoon?? and then gave huge contracts to two trash Utah outcasts!! putting us $40mill over the cap, wasting 4 drafts!! That is what Zeek walked in to when he got here so lets not have such short memories. Show me the post when you where saying “What is Zeek doing I dont want Starberry!”

When that happened everyone was all for it because we had no hope and nothing going for us!! I suffered bad under Layden and as bad as Zeeks rebuild seemed compare it to that Layden team!! Zeek scewed up under the owners pressure to sell tickets and made some mistakes (Jeffries) but he got here with a wack team and 40mill over the cap with an owner screaming win now sell tickets so he was doomed from the gate his off the court stuff is a cheap shot and personal attack if u feel the need to go there thats u but i rather keep it a matter of basketball when it comes to our GM’s

Mind you im not making excuses for the guy but I just feel if you have guys on here going all out to protect Walsh when he is wrong then try to dump everything on Zeek lets just remember that Zeek walked in 40mill over the cap and with a far worse team then what he left regardless of the record and with an owner who refused to blow it up and rebuild until it was to late!!

So in closing 10 years later we are still suffering not really at the hands of Donnie or Zeek but Layden!! I will beat Laydens azz if I ever see him!!! lol

  • blackwood

DID YOU GUYS SEE CP3 WEARING THE YANKEE HAT IN THE POST GAME INTERVIEW!?! (HINT HINT) LOL

  • Mucha

    I remember that

  • depressednknick fan

Yo!!! what the hell are these guys ( Walsh and D’antoni) some kind a comedy act. THEY BOTH NEED TO BE FIRED!!!!!! RIGHT AWAY, I mean are you serious the knicks where actually better before they came atleast then they competed alittle bit. Fire!!!! D’antoni and Walsh.

  • BiggieSmalls

stop it CL4.. That Celtic squad was without their Big 3.

Defense looks good when you are playing the Israeli team..

  • BiggieSmalls

Donnie shipped off two players almost 12 months ago then went on siesta.. That is not an excuse for the effort this team puts out today.

  • HaS

LOL “Yeah the same pre season where we went 5-2 and beat the Celtics and defense was the word on the court.” Now that sounds “selective” to me.

I don’t expect to hear “Hey, HaS you were right man.”, but don’t try to make it seem as if you guys were right for thinking that this was a 40+ win team and would definitely challenge for the 8th, and dare I say it, some even said they could get the 6th seed!

Not directed at you in particular Circle, just speaking in general.

    No shots.

  • HaS

There is no one on this team who is a gifted passer, the coach doesn’t ever seem to run any plays (unless it’s an isolation or pick and roll), and sometimes Danilo isn’t actually open, his man is playing the passing lane waiting for someone to be dumb enough to try to get it to him cross court, so that they can steal the ball.

  • HaS

Lee has most of the fans fooled.

  • HaS

Lee isn’t athletic enough to throw a punch.
