I am starting to lose my patients with him. Yes, building a contender takes time donnie but you have die hard fans paying BIGGGGG money to go to games. I mean we sold out 4 out of 7 home games are we are one and 9. I understand the process of REBUILDING, but you can rebuild without being this horrible. Donnie kept on talking about it taking time to build a contender, well why the hell doesnt the coach develop your 8th pick… isnt that how you build a contender by drafting talent and developing that talent? i still believe in walsh, but once again if you werent going to PLAY jordan you should have taken jennings. im all for taking jordan hill, but everyone knew he was raw and the only way for him to reach his potential, which imo is very high is by PLAYING.

you know, not just you dino, but everybody is just begging d’antonito develop Jordan Hill, not because hes any good ,but just because he was the 8th pick in the draft!i dont give a crap if he sees any time thi year because i dont think ,even developed, hat this guy can mae much of a difference .if i hve to look at him on he court during games it will get me even more depressed at who we didnt take and ill still be wondering why we don have a point guard

I think if we would’ve had Iverson for those early close games we would’ve had a different record right now. I also think we would’ve won that game against GSW. I’m not saying we would’ve been 9-1 or even 6-4 but we wouldn’t be 1-9 IMO.
Don’t underestimate the importance and convenience of having a go to guy that can create his own shot and more importantly make the shot.

I am frustrated too at not drafting Bradon Jennings, but remember what was going on at the time. We might lose David Lee, because at the time his agent was posturing and asking for an amount for Lee that we just could not give him, so we needed someone to play in his place. Without Lee who on this team exactly was going to grab a rebound? Curry isn’t known for it, Gallo hasn’t shown upside in that area, JJ hasn’t been a big rebounder, Harrington hasn’t shown it; not to mention for as much of a logjam we do have up front, we don’t have anyone who can be a two way player, even if Hill can’t develop into a beast of a one on one defender, he’s shown an ability to defend off the ball. So that’s something that we didn’t have even developing before Hill.
Also remember at the time no one was thinking Duhon would be this bad. I thought he would be good at the beginning of the year again, and then probably drop off again, but Duhon has really taken an unforeseen step back. So let’s not crucify the organization for not drafting someone (Jennings) who at the time was showing a propensity to shoot off at the mouth. The Knicks had just gotten rid of someone who created locker room drama, and judging from everything Jennings was doing before the draft (and even directly afterwards) it looked like the last thing he needed was the New York Press Corps with a microphone in his face.
I do agree that Hill should play with Lee and Gallo more, especially if Chandler isn’t going to show much. That at least might have Lee guarding 4′s while hill guards the 5′s, and have Hill play the D’Antoni 4, and Lee play the 5 on offense.
    There’s a chance I don’t know what I’m talking about :P .

Geez. That sure was uninspiring. First off… Donnie says look at what Boston and Orlando did to rebuild. I think he missed a major factor there. It wasn’t just Free Agents, It was quality drafts that helped that team become contenders. Rondo, Jameer Nelson, Howard… Crap, even Big Baby Davis gets some major minutes and contributes. I like Gallo, but he wasn’t the pick. Eric Gordon would’ve and would continue to contribute to this team. Regardless of Gallo’s injury, Gordon would have done more his rookie season. And obviously, picking Hill was a terrible decision.. Needed help today. How could a rebuilding team take a project player and expect to go to the playoffs (thats what we were feed during the preseason). It seemed that once Curry was gone (which you had to know was going to happen), the wheels fell off and they rolled the dice. Not very smart. Those other teams added quality free agents AFTER drafting well. You rebuild with the draft Donnie. Everyone knows that. Look around the league.

Secondly, I think the last thing anyone wanted to see with a Practice video was Eddy Curry standing around shooting jumpers. Am I alone on that one? Love the insight with the Practice video, just disappointed with what I saw and heard. Then again, this is the Knicks. They’ve been breaking my heart for decades.

This one is more listenable. I laughed my head off when I first heard this.

No one wants to acknowledge it black.

Dino I couldn’t have said it better myself. We are not against the Jordan Hill pick, but against the fact that Jordan Hill doesn’t play. It’s ridiculous in my opinon, you don’t draft a player if you’re not willing to give him major minutes.
