Knicks @ Nets Game Thread

Nate shoots at wrong hoop…coach frowns. Finger point to BDL.

Devin Harris is back, Eddy Curry showed signs.

The Nets are searching for their first win of the season, and the Knicks handled them during the preseason.

Let’s have a chat…

GASP!! They look pretty good against a winless team! Hopefully they can pull it out in the 2nd half!

Nice win.

I like that kid CDR man, solid player. He is determined to carve out a spot in the rotation before Courtney Lee comes back.

Duhon played great 8 ast 2 turnovers 5 boards.

Galinari was more active trying to go backdoor and move without the ball early, he still looks slow and seems like he gets tired fast. He definitely took advantage of when the Nets fell asleep defensively.

Rookies still not getting much burn, but whatever, guess we need to get used to that.

Nate’s shot wasn’t even close to before the buzzer. I see dudes shoot practice shots at the opposing rim all the time. I think there was a little overreaction on the coach’s part, BUT when you’re 2-9 I don’t blame him for trying to tighten the ship. He mentioned defense in his postgame interview AND he didn’t laugh much! I’m impressed.

efff nate robinson!tis guy has just got to stop being the CLOWN!maybe it doesnt mean much, but demeanor means so much as far as reputation goes, and if you hav a serious demeanor, maybe people will start to see you as a serious bsketball player.so NATE stop saluting, stop tuggingyour ear, stop the shit and act like a man,t might just mean a couple of million dollars more to raise your family or maybe when ,at the end of your career and its a choice of whos being the last one cut from a team YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE,maybe they dont pick you cuz they think yer such a clown..im mean look at certain hall of famer ALLEN IVERSON,one of the great guards of all time just a few years ago ,now he has a rep as a big pain in the ass selfish player and no one wts to sign him.imagine if he had a great rep throughout the league as an unselfish player he could play 9 or 10 more years ,start a new nba career.as much as he gets hurt GRANT HILL,will always get picked for his professionalism not cut like a clown

I Pray your Right Oak, we really need to win this game! Hopefully Curry plays Good again, and begins to get more minutes so we can trade him.

Nate needs to be benched for the rest of the game after that episode. Shoot at the right basket, don’t wait until the buzzer then shoot at the wrong basket. Don’t be a afraid to have another missed shot in the box score Nate.

What a joke

Nate shoots the ball into the nets basket at the end of the quarter…d’antoni flipped on him

will that take minutes away? no nate starts in the second.

BTW Totti, how are you enjoying the playing of Thiago Silva. He’s a great idol of my team (Fluminense).

We used to call him a monster (which is actually a compliment).

Hey guys good to see us winning but just a few points. Hows does Gallo blow that fastbreak? on another its 2 on 2 he is 6′10 the defender 6′5 rather then go at the basket he runs to the corner?? and stops the whole fast break. He has to go at the basket he already can shoot he needs to expand his game or he is just a reg euro-shooter and thats a dime a dosen. WHERE THE HELL IS HILL????

2009-11-21 14:21:39

How does JJ get freakin run?? look not for nothing Hill needs to play the real mins and let JJ come in trash time where he could look better against the other teams bench!! MD is brain dead on this fact!! truth is u rather trade EC contract before JJ if you had to pick and EC is for the most part rasing his value every game so far so up his mins every game and get hill in there as the back up center and let Lee and Harrington split PF and mix darko in there.

Comment by HaS
2009-11-21 15:03:43

Darko’s career is over.

Word Blackwood…I am not sure why they say the want to develop the youngin’s but stick to this Du-Du/Lee/Jared for long periods of times. Hill needs to take the majority of Jared’s minutes…Jared is missing too many defensive assignments…

The concern is his health. As for point you raised, blackwood, he has to improve a lot, he’s almost a rookie and if he stays healthy he has 12 or something seasons in front of him, but you can see his allround skill. Just like you i only want the best from gallo, but listen he won’t let us dawn.

its a tough spot, bc they want to play jj so its easier to trade him. i think in the second half of the season hill will play alot.

my favorite player is casano, they need to put him on the national team.

they need to spread the floor better when they dump it down to curry. they are too congested near him.

Comment by blackwood
2009-11-21 15:19:30

Lets be honest JJ is making himself less and less tradeable!! while EC is JJ would look better against the bench guys in trash time that will raise his value but right now he is killing his value.

Comment by the oak
2009-11-21 15:46:46

Hey blackwood I agree with you.

Playing Jeffries to improve his stock is not helping. It’s hurting because he is playing horribly.

He is a huge liability on the Offensive side of the ball. When he actually tries to make a play he turns it over.

they don’t need Ai or any players they don’t even need next summer with this awesome roster.
i don’t know about u but i think the euro kid will go down as the greatest white kid to play the game

Yea good win…I think it will carry through tomorrow…Sure would’ve like to see Hill in there coz Jared is not making it right now.

The Knicks normally play Boston good when they are focused. Boston hasn’t been dominant lately…we shall see one game at a time…

How come when Gallo gets beat once or twice on the defensive side MD gets nervous and replaces him like he did in the 4th today. But when the other players get beat constantly its no big deal.

Comment by CircleLimit4

We have ways of supplementing Gallo’s offense at the 3. The same can’t really be said for say, Lee or Duhon.

Duhon, Lee and Harrington played well down the stretch.

Nice win, but where’s Jordan Hill?

Jordan Hill 0 minutes

My favorite rookies – yesterday :

James Harden 25 points 4 rebounds 4 steals
Tyreke Evans 29 points 7 rebounds 10 assists

Frustrating.

Comment by JustinCharles
2009-11-21 16:14:51

Wow huge game from Tyreke. I mean, yeah it’s frustrating, but those guys were gone before our pick anyway.

It sucks that Hill can’t get any minutes in some of these games, but in the second half it was a close game and Hill isn’t ready to be in the game in close games.

Good win for the team, but Nate and Toney Douglas got 15 combined minutes…where could AI fit in?

Comment by Mucha
2009-11-21 16:38:35

Yes they were gone, it’s frustrating from a subjective/emotional standpoint. I can’t complain about the fact that they’re playing well, but the fact that we don’t even know if Jordan Hill’s good enough to fill the stat sheet like they did yesterday is crazy.

Look guys I wish our rookies where great but not for nothing did you see Lopez crush Gallo and that week dunk attempt lol Gallo runs to the corners at 6′10 he should be going to the basket. Hill cant get off the damn bench!! every player taken before him and a few taken after him are getting big to fair mins!!
The building JJ’s trade value crap is over! if Hill don’t play by next week then I will fully understand why MD is over rated!! all jokes aside Hill could back up PF and C!! Kid should get 20 mins a game baptism by fire and they better seeing as the blew the last 2 drafts!! cut the kid loose and let him do his thing its not only another no brainer its another u have nothing to lose as well!!

The kid scores 17 points on 6-12 shooting in 26 minutes. All you have to say is that he runs to the corners and put up a weak dunk? Come on. The kid has flaws but he had a great game.
