I hate to break it to everyone but the Knicks are getting the Free Agent scraps unless Gallo, Chandler, and either Hill or Douglas has a great 2nd half.

Right now the supporting cast looks so bad that even IF (very big IF) the Knicks move Curry/Jeffries and have enough space for 2 MAX contracts that's still not enough to win a championship.

It's way more likely that Bosh goes to Cleveland or Miami, Lebron, Wade or Bosh goes to Chicago etc...

Either one will move to a team that is one major piece away from a championship (like Chicago) or one will move (most likely Bosh) to where one of the other two are.

The idea that one of these guys is going to come to NY to be part of a rebuild is so stupid, I can't even believe it's being discussed. We couldn't get Kidd and Hill to come here and they are a year or two away from assisted living.

Our best hope is Amare or Joe Johnson. No one will want Amare nearly as much because of his tendency to get injured, his bad eye, and his lack of defense (something the Knicks don't care about). Joe Johnson would be a nice pickup, but he's clearly not a max player. He's a #3 on a championship caliber team.

They'll probably go 2-8 (hey that's an improvement over 1-9 the 1st 10 games), but my gut is telling me 1-9. The best that could be expected is 3-7, with wins against the Nets and Sacramento (although they've been playing much better lately) those other teams would have to collapse which is less likely for the ones that are on their home floor.

Anyone see the upcoming schedule? Man this is tough

Sat 21 @ New Jersey
Sun 22 vs Boston
Tue 24 @ LA Lakers
Wed 25 @ Sacramento
Fri 27 @ Denver
Sun 29 vs Orlando

December
Tue 01 vs Phoenix
Wed 02 @ Orlando
Fri 04 @ Atlanta
Sun 06 @ New Jersey

How many of the next 10 the Knicks win?

I think they win 5 of the next 10...If E-City gives us 12-15 ppg...yeah I know I am pushing it. But teams have scouted for the Du-Du / Lee / Jared factor.
If we see less of them I think it would be possible only if we beat New Jersey tonight...

With this schedule coming up....I am still not sure why they didn't get A.I in here except for Dolan killing the signing...

Thoughts?

"which means something to me because other reports have been less than positive."

So if the opinion isn't positive it doesn't mean anything to you? 50-50 isn't exactly positive, isn't that neutral? It seems like if 10 people say he isn't coming people want to ignore it, but when they find someone less convinced either way they twist it to mean yea I think he's going to sign in NY. LeBron says he's not going to talk about next summer anymore, I wish the media would follow suit.
