Tommy Dee says: Check out Zags’ chat with Doc Rivers, who relates to D’Antoni’s struggles.

When: 1 PM

Where: MSG

Lineups:

Celtics:

PG- Rondo

SG- Allen

SF- Pierce

PF- Garnett

C- Perkins

Knicks:

PG- Duhon

SG – Hughes

SF- Chandler

PF- Gallo

C- Lee

Notes:

Today marks the MSG debut for Curry, and with Boston’s fierce frontline, he might be needed. Coming off two nice wins, the Knicks hit a brick wall today in the Boston Celtics. However, we all remember how the Knicks surprised the C’s last season at the Garden. Can magic strike twice on Broadway?

Let’s go Knicks.

      DaGawd, what is your deal?

I bet you were rooting for the Celtics anyway. Why else are you lmao?
Every post is about how bad the knicks are and kool aid. enough with the kool aid. It’s getting old.

If you hate Mike D so much, do yourself a favor and don’t watch, that way noone on this blog will have to read your redundant posts.

    Tough loss

Would be easier to swallow if Gallo had the game Harrington had or someone else who is part of the future.

Now onto a west coast trip – where Sacramento looks like the best chance for a win.

Tough tough tough – and nothing really positively for the future (2010 and beyond) comes out of this game – only thing is that there is effort in 2009 by the guys w/ expiring contracts

Yeah – Gallo probably is overrated by some on this blog – but underrated by others – he is somewhere in between – but surely not the next Dirk or a franchise player – but no a bust either. Maybe he’s the Kukoc – but we need an MJ and Scottie before we can contend – that’s for another day.

man if your rebuilding why not make gillinari the go to guy

phuk man i wonna see how good this kid can be

we already know what Al is.
        shit..

doug is a better go to guy than Al

if the knicks lost the game with the rebuilding pieces i would have no prob even hughes i wouldn’t mind taking shots the guy plays hard on both ends

        where was nate.

danni boy is a bad coach point blank..

hell of a game to bad we lost but damn i can live with a loss if its a game we played hard in!! I put that on MD not instructing they guys to stay on the ball and use the foul they had to give!! a few secs left 2 get killed just passing and moving then foul and force them to reset come the hell on MD!!!

The Knicks had a foul to give. I guess a foul is too much to ask for (ask Brandon Roy).

    And where’s Gallo??

The Knicks are finally playing respectable basketball though.

Jordan Hill’s bball I.Q. is LOW he will get better but Cole is a smarter player than him right now plain and simple look at the best players in the league they are they have the highest I.Q. they know how to play the game mentally Hill is not there I would move him for a lottery pick.

    Great effort by the guys.

But (again) mindnumbing rotation and decisions by the coach. D’Antoni lost this game.

Can only really evaluate games on how well the young guys were developed. This is and always has been about 2010 – I am not sure how well Gallo, Chandler, Hill, Douglas were developed today. I guess Chandler a little as he attacked the basket more. Gallo was good in the 1st quarter.

This year is all about the future – not the present.

Will you quit it with all the kool aid garbage. Noones drinking it at this point, I think fans were just rooting for their team to win. It seems like you take great pleasure in losses and rubbing it in, Man just keep your mouth shout and save all the other garbage for when its warranted. This would have been a good win and nothing else, I think everyone in this blog is savvy enough that not much will be made of this season.

    CHILL DA GAWD damn kid

I hear ya kid, but listen almost of this roster will be gone by seasons end. I understand the need to play the youngsters now, but I think the goal is to try and build up value and try to trade the expiring and along with JJ and Curry and to do that they all need to play at this point. If trades are made its going to be even worse than it is now. Listen this team is going anywhere, everyone knows that now, but lets hope they can improve as a team as to make their assets somewhat more marketable, so we can trade them, and suck even more. Lets, as fans, at least all be on board and all agree that the goal is to try to have space to attract to MAX free agents. That is the only way we can attract a 1A type free agent. In the mean time we can only cheer and hope they improve. YOU GET KNOWLEDGE, forget about their record for a little and think about the big picture. Done tell me you are happy with a 35 win team, cuse that was their ceiling before the season and Im hoping that is not what would EARN your respect

Chris Duhon is probably the only starting point guard in the league that manages to play 47 minutes and only score 3 points.

Then again, D’Antoni is the only coach who would keep him on the floor instead of bringing on Douglas who already is the better player on offense AND defense.

    • Mucha
      Nov 22, 2009, 4:19 pm at 4:19 pm #

      ROTFL

But Duhon controlled the tempo. Granted he didn’t play particulary well but he was not useless.

Please, someone tell me the graphic was wrong, and the Knicks didn’t have a foul to give. Someone tell me it’s harder than it looks to blitz and foul the ball off a pick and roll. Someone tell me if they fouled, the Celtics would’ve scored, anyway. Someone tell me something to not want to throw my laptop through the flat screen right now.

    Really? … REALLY?

Mike D’Antoni lost the game if he didn’t tell Lee or Chandler to foul. The same thing happened in Portland last year. Ridiculous.

    The game was entertaining though.

At least Jordan Hill played and Gallinari took more shots than Hughes and Chandler.

    Entertaining game, at least.

And seeing Eddy lay the smackdown on Rondo was an added bonus.
