Tony Rice Balls has secured actor and big Knick fan Anthony (head spin??) Anderson for tonight’s show.

Also, we will be talking to Chris Manning of thelakersnation.com.

“…The style of play that the Knicks run will not surprise Lakers fans and to steal a Hollywood phrase it will remind you of a movie you’ve seen before. The old adage that the sequel is never is good as the original applies here. The Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni ran the same up-tempo system with more success in Phoenix…”

I’d say he had more success in Phoenix. They knocked Kobe out of the playoffs twice.

Plus more of your awesome phone calls.

Last I checked it was a team sport.

as easy as it is to make a highlight video (should have seen my highlight tape to college coaches) making a low light video is easier.

Anthony Anderson, great actor that he is, is actually doing his impersonation of giddy Bucks management once they saw that the Knicks had passed on BJ3 last June. OK, more rubbing it in … good article from the Fanhouse link …

http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/11/23/brandon-jennings-breathes-life-into-the-bucks/

2 of the best parts of the article are quotes from Larry Brown & BJ3 himself:

(What impresses Brown is how Jennings, despite his gaudy scoring numbers, remains a pass-first point guard. “He’s a gym rat,” said Brown, who said he didn’t realize Jennings was such a good shooter. “He loves to play. He’s got a passion for the game… If he can get to 55 and still be unselfish, (that) puts (Milwaukee) in a good situation.”)

and from Jennings about the ROY award:
(“I don’t really care if I don’t get it. Somebody else can have it. The main thing is just to get to the playoffs.’)’

Hey Rex, please pass us Knick fans some of those kleenex !

Seems like such a good, humble kid with an incredible work ethic. Seems like the Knicks’ decision makers and the local fans (the media wasn’t even as adverse to drafting this guy as some of the fans were) were dead wrong.

Big Ego – Not so much. The kid drives a Ford Edge. I drive a better car than that!

Selfish – People seem to like playing with him and opposing coaches (including Larry Brown who is notorious for being hard on his floor leaders) have lauded him for having a pass first point guard’s mentality, even while having an uncanny ability to score the rock.

Oh well, I guess we have to get over it. The sooner everyone gets to see what Hill can/can’t do it will make it a lot easier to forget about the pick that should have been.

Jordan Hill will be a good rebounder and a good P&R player.

He’ll be fine but he just needs to play (in the paint preferably).

So let me get this straight. We didn’t sign A.I. because he would hurt the further development of the younger players, right? But how will that work if the rookies, Gallo(a starter), and Will (another starter) are getting garbage minutes at the end of the lakers game? Come on now. These guys are doing a lot better than the starters. HIll is getting better each game he plays…and that’s like 4 or 5 games that he got to play (estimated). How is he going to get better. Same goes for Toney who should be playing soooo many more minutes then the Garbage that is DUDU Duhon! It’s unbelievable what D’Antoni is doing with this team…

Well Jordan Hill had to play against Andrew Bynum who might be the best center in the Western Conference. Good move by Mike D’Antoni.

Gallinari played really well tonight, but he needs to attack the basket, get some easy buckets/FT’s.

Wilson Chandler is one of the worst outside shooters on the team, yet somehow he lead the team in shot attempts with 20.

How can this be?

There are only 3 possibilities:

a. Wilson is an idiot

b. D’Antoni is an idiot for allowing it

c. They are both idiots

At this point it’s clear that Wilson needs to be benched in favor of AL Harrington at PF. Harrington is an idiot and a black hole, but at least he can shoot and score well enough on most nights to be tolerated. Wilson does NOTHING well. I have to admit to being terribly disappointed in his lack of development. I was pretty high in him last year, but I was clearly wrong. Surgery or not, he too freaking stupid to be considered a core player going forward. At best he’s going to be a decent backup.

Duhon is also terrible.

This should be the lineup:

Douglas – PG
Hughes – SG
Gallo – SF
Harrington – PF
Lee – C

WE should also start giving minutes to Hill.

I agree man. Honestly, this team is just way too disappointing. I’m not sure when Donnie is going to do something to maybe give us some hope as Knick fans. I, like everyone else here, would love to see Lebron coming to NY. But with this type of ball game being played around here, I wouldn’t be surprised if nobody wanted to play here. It’s really disappointing.

Again Let’s get them signs up “NO MORE DU-DU”

Sorry Tommy Dee, I heard you on the blog radio today giving Du-Du props (but you noted he was struggling)…but he’s had it.

Knicks get into a lead with out him, he comes in and they collapse. Again, I know we are talking about the Lakers here. But man Du-Du is NOT cutting it!

It’s time for the young guns to play and sit the expirings. Mike D needs to start T-Doug and grow his point guard. Great to see J. Hill play…hopefully he will be out the dog house and take JJ’s minutes.

Yea its a bad time right now but the team is not giving up. All you can ask is to fight thru it…

@ bsvaldivieso

We will get some good players here…remember the Celts SUCKED for a couple years before getting their all-star and tried to tank to get a high draft pick (failed) and the still got their all-stars.
