After watching him play against the Lakers. I noticed that the Lakers game planned by stripping the ball out of his hands everytime he got the ball. Then he hurt his knee and you can kiss his trade value goodbye. I guess Manners got his wish to keep Curry on the Knicks becuase thats where he will be unless the Knicks buy him out. On to the team they are in a dog fight early on with the Kings,I have the Knicks winning this game

Why is Duhon on Evans?

Well Jason I come to realize if I was a Rent A Knick and its only being human. You win a couple of games in a row against inferior teams which is saying something when our Knicks arent that much better, and almost and should have won against Boston and then instead of having or bringing that momentum to LA got their butts handed to them to the point Mike DA threw in the white flag and played the rooks. I think after all that I would be like to hell with it. What if I be the ultimate team player, sacrafice my stats for the betterment of the team and at the end of the year they dont resign me and other teams around the NBA see I played on an embarrassment of a team and on face value my stats dont add up to a starting role or big money contract then what? You may be like A.I. out of the NBA. I already see Nate going that route real fast. So I blame them but who and remember the money they make is normal while to us its a fantasy, will bust their ass while possibly giving up their livelihood down the line.

No one looks focused tonight. They look dazed! Its a curse that Nate’s family is there, he’s not gonna pass the ball often.

Did D’antoni say they slowed it down a bit? It’s been slow since he got here. Whats he talking about?

I’d much rather see Jordan Hill and Danilo Gallinari take 10-15 shots per game even if it means losing every game by 20.

Im with you! This season is a disaster! Utah will get a top three pick, and the Knicks will only win 18 games. No one to attract Free agents. I say the best the knicks come away with is Rudy Gay. What a horrible future!

I know Tommy and others will defend the system here but the Knicks have very good slashers in Douglas, Robinson, Hughes and Harrington, a spot up shooter in Gallo, and a couple of big mid range jump shooters like Darko, Hill, and Lee. Why is our offense predicated on ball movement on the perimeter and jacking up threes. Can we run some isolations, pick and rolls with people other than Duhon, and baseline screens for Gallo and Harrington off the ball? Is that really too much to ask? Are we seriously going to be forced to watch this crap for another 60+ games.

The offense looked so much better with Curry posting up. Can we at least try to post up Gallo and Harrington when mismatches present themselves. Must we always jack up threes from Jeffries, Douglas, Hughes and Duhon who clearly can’t shoot them. What is the rationale for no AI, or Arroyo or J. WIliams (who is playing great by the way) over the summer?

By the way Tommy you asked me a few threads ago if this team would be better with J. WIlliams, Pargo, or Arroyo leading them. The answer is undeniably yes. Even if not reflected in wins they would at least be more watchable and give D’Antoni a legitimate starting option while Duhon struggles like he is.

Scratch that Duhon should never be starting anywhere anyway. You want to know why Gallo and Hill were draft mistakes? It has nothing to do with their being busts now or not. It is because the Knicks needed to draft a PG in two PG heavy drafts and just like the Hawks their drafts are continuously failures until they do.

Apparently Coach D, agrees that they shoot too many threes but the players still do it. I don’t understand. I think Knicks need to go to a traditional inside, outside system. Scrap the playbook they have. Matter of fact dont read no plays, Knicks need to read the BIBLE. For real!!

Four players standing on the arc, and one posting doesn’t allow for many offensive rebounds. Not a lot of second opportunities. Never a couple of bigs working hard down low

Defense:
Looks like they’re not playing for D’Antoni. Don’t seem to be playing like guys in their contract year either.

Because that lineup sucks horribly on offense. I know the starter aren’t doing anything, but that lineup wont score for you at all.

Fingers crossed that none of these guys will be able to find an NBA-Contract next season. They really don’t deserve it.

Nate and Coward lee, played horrible defense. So how could they have a good game? Basketball isn’t just about offense!

The Nets are gonna get better free agents then we are. They have better pieces, and a draft pick. They are light years ahead of us. We have nothing to show for, for all the years of losing! NOTHING!!

I am not convinced he could be a rotation player for any team in the league right now. Awful. Hughes also sucks and his lack of effort tonight was startling. I particularly enjoyed Hughes casually walking to contest a 3 that was then swished early in the 3rd. As long as development continues to happen I guess. At least Gallo and Hill were somewhat respectable, which is more than I can say for anyone else on the team. What a joke.

WHAT DO THE IVERSON HATERS HAVE TO SAY? SHOW YOURSELVES!

If I was DW, i’d call OKC and try to ship chandler and JJ for etan thomas at this point. I don’t care if we get nothing for chandler; he’s playing like complete garbage right now and it would clear up cap. Plus, OKC likes young players and has cap to spare.

My general thoughts/observations on the game:
-I’d rather have darko shoot a 3 then chandler at this point
-If chandler was about to take a shot and not drive, I wish that d’antoni would tase him from the sideline
-Am i the only person who can’t stand harrington at this point? He put up 19 shots tonight and honestly, the guy is all about one-on-one and it’s getting worse by the day.
-Gallo needs some redbull. Then maybe he would realize that he’s quicker then most who generally guard him, so he can move instead of always wanting a 3.
-Nate’s dad could probably eat nate, but at least he seems to carry himself as a gentleman and not a middle schooler like his son.
-Maybe D’antoni should show some balls and bench people like nate for not playing defense so they get the point; just a thought.
-TD down to 15 minutes a game after having 3 straight of 20 pts. or more about 5 games back. Confidence right there.
-Duhon won’t be in the league next year.
-Our best defender played 13 minutes (Larry Hughes)
-Last comment and i’m going to get laughs here, but I actually like JJ. He’s one of the few veterans who actually plays hard and would take a charge from shaq. Obviously, we need to get rid of him, but I think that he’s one of the better veteran role players to show the younger players how to play defense.

A lot of this was obvious, but I wouldn’t be surprised if AI was out of retirement come friday and in a knick uniform. D’antoni might change his mind on not wanting him after he saw his team get blown out by a team where 7 out of 9 that played haven’t even been in the league for more than 3 years…5 of which have been in the league for one year or less…

Barnaby, Im with you man. Those 3 are the only ones I really care about at this point, with Chandler possibly there if he stops playing like such a complete bum. I would actually pay other teams to take Suckhon and JJ. I just can’t watch them anymore. Suckhon has been the biggest disgrace to the Knicks uniform since the last starting pg. Damn, I almost wish Starbury would return rather than this unwatchable bum.

The funny part is that Hill has scored 32 points and grabbed 16 boards in 63 minutes (including tonight)…the average big man on the knicks gets anywhere from 30-40 minutes a game, so average it out at 35 minutes. In 35 minutes, hill put up (on average) 17.7 pts, 8.9 boards…too bad we won’t see similar numbers until next year…

Another funny stat:
Landry has 12 point in 8:44 minutes played…the average knicks guard again assuming 35 minutes a game…49.8 ppg for landry…obv not realistic, just funny though

Last year duhon was decent…decent enough to be a backup point guard that is…we should just let douglas start, nate back up, and sign some random veteran (if we don’t pursue AI) to provide the few minutes here or there….or just push a JJ, chandler, and duhon trade to washington for mike james and mike miller…washington wanted chandler and hughes for the 5th and cap filler, so why not give them one piece, plus they like jeffries, let them deal with duhon and we get cap room and players who will actually help us…james is getting old but he still fits this system and is unselfish and miller can shoot

what is it that he actually gets paid for? telling those brainiacs “get the ball, shoot the ball”? everybody can do that! there’s no movement, no inside game, no defense whatsoever (that is if hill, douglas, milicic or hughes are not on the court which is the case most of the time). you gotta be happy if they somehow play some pick n roll once in a while.

i’m tired of this useless offense of contested threes, shot by on terrible shooter after another. and i’m utterly disgusted by the defense. the coach has to take major blame here.

This is just frustrating to say the least and borderline hopeless. First, our beloved GM hasn’t done anything to make this team competitive at all (just keeps promising to us like a used car salesman). It is obvious that the plan is to stink as much as possible, but at least the Nets have their pick, we unfortunately don’t. Second, our brain-dead coach seems to not understand that “We are not in Phoenix anymore.” Please find a playbook and donate it as a benevolent act to him and all the diehard Knicks fans will thank you this Thanksgiving. Firing D’antoni would be another embarrasment for the organization, because you’re firing him, when you put him in a position to coach 1 year rented players. I want to say D’Antoni is not a good coach but we had the same issues with every coach that has been here. We have no talent…….

My beef with D’Antoni is playing DLee at center and playing other players out of position. He thinks it’s OK like in Europe were they feel any player should be able to play any position. Mike wake up, it’s the NBA. DLee is small even for a PF but he does play bigger, he’s still not a center in the NBA. Chandler is not a 3 pt shooter and not a PF either. He’s a slashing, scoring SF with a nice short jumper who does not know how to play defense. A good coach puts players in a position to succeed not fail.

To Donnie boy, you had to get another PG on this roster and you failed. Anybody who can just run a team for 15-20 minutes a game. Even if it was a rookie. You blew it on not drafting Lopez then you double blew it on not drafting Jennings, then you triple screwed it by not even getting Ty Lawson or someone, anyone.

I really don’t like the fact that D’Antoni likes to (deliberately) embarass Nate Robinson. The coach hates him, I’ve never seen Duhon, Chandler or Harrington get the same treatment. Maybe the fact that he’s 5’9 allows D’Antoni to be in a position of power, I don’t know.

I agree but what about Chris Duhon laughing with his team down by more than 20 points (2nd time this season)?? Isn’t THAT scandalous?

There’s a double-standard bob, the vets ALWAYS get a pass. But when Robinson doesn’t play well, D’Antoni yells at him. When Gallinari misses an assignement, he goes to the bench. When Jordan Hill doesn’t get buckets, he goes to the bench. While Chris Duhon launches 3 pointers from Cancun and Harrington goes 3/10 in a single quarter.

They should definitely play Darko some more minutes. I understand wanting to play JJ and Curry to try and get some moron(Dumbleavy, Wallace) to try and take them off our hands but there is no reason that bums like Duhon, Hughes, and Harrington should be getting nearly the amount of minutes they are. And there is definitely a double standard for veterans on this team. Dantoni never yells at Duhon for being the worst pg in the league or Hughes and Harrington for their horrible shots and ballstopping tendencies. Just terrible.

thats because duhon is the only point guard on the team,and dont get me starte with that bum!I argued all summer long that Duhon sucked,and 90% of the people who post on this site just told me “shut up” “your not a real fan” “how can you be so negative” ..i also kept saying that wilson chandler was overated and got the same reaction,only now that the KNICKS are losing everyone here is jumping on the duhon/chandler sucks bandwaggon.at any rate we desperately need a new point guard and Donnie Genius isnt gonna get us one,and this season is sinking like the titanic.i still say we shoulda signed Sessions.He would have been starting by now and really showing his stuff(not like in minny,where his minutes are sporadic etc)But it looks as if we have to wait until next year when Dolan “buys” a whole new team that we ,as fans have to call “the KNICKS” I’M truly starting to believe that we are al rooting for a stuffed uniform
