DW got rid of the 2 20-pt scorers and for good reason. Of course this year should stink without them, and I am glad he did it.

I think Walsh's plan is to build a team with young star talent beginning next summer. Holiday and Lawson and even Jennings are good, not stars like the Knix need. Give Walsh a year or 2 more to show us what he can do. This year sux because he needed to clean house.

Same here, Big Daddy. I think I saw my first Knick TV game in '67...they had Willis, Komives and Big Bells.

I can take it this year. Next spring and summer Walsh will be making moves galore. The pain will go away. For now, to keep our sanity I think we need to watch other NBA games.

I'm heading to Oakland in 4 hours to see the Lakers-Warriors.

didnt mean to sound like a homer. obviousally, we missed out on jennings, the guy scored 55 points as a rookie and hill cant even get off the bench, but to critiize walsh for picking hill is wrong and to say hill is bad or wont be great is wrong too.

This is Gallo's true first year in the NBA, the guy is coming off of freakin back surgery..... aka it will take TIME for him to completey show off his entire skill set, not to mention he is 21 years old and from a different country, that also takes a lot of time adjusting to. but anyway, he can pass like no other big man, he is a phenomenal shooter, great bball iq, great work ethic, i absolutely love the kid. nothing against brook lopez though, he is a phenomenal player. imo i would take gallo over brook anyday. you talk about how many players like lopez come along, well how many big men who can pass and shoot like gallo can come along? when you have walsh comparing you to bird, heck you know your good, gallinari is the real deal, love him.

I think in walsh's defense he probbaly thought jeffries would be tradeable, so if the cap is 53 million and we have 23 million to spend with ramon sessions on the team take out his 4 million and jeffries 6 plus and now you have 33 million which is enough to sign you 2 MAX fa, so please dont tell me that ramon sessions is worth the risk bc he isnt. how can you say hill wont be a great player, he's hardly even played. i love his atheltic ability and work ethic, he seems to have improved greatly so far, but other than that in your defense its kind of hard for me to judge bc he just does not play nearly enough, but he should be imo.

Let's make a couple of things clear:

1) I like Gallo a lot and i'm not too mad about Walsh taking him (hey, we didn't end up with Joe Alexander).

2) I like Hill and his potential and want him to get AT LEAST 15-20 minutes every game.

BUT:

You can't be serious if you think both of them were the best choice for the Knicks. We still don't know excactly what position to play Gallo, his health (read: back stiffness) is still a concern as it should be. There are also concerns about his all around game like driving to the basket or his activity rate. But we don't need to go there. As I said I like him a lot and have faith that he will do good things for the Knicks when he finally gets the ball.

On the other hand, Lopez at age 21 is already one of the best C's in the game (besides the PG the hardest position to fill). You built your franchise around that kind of player.
Gordon (age 20) already looks like a complete guard. defending well, shooting, driving to the basket with speed, skill and force and averaging 3,5 apg. He's just a great great GREAT young player.
And, both of them are still developing.

Again, I'm tired of the Jennings issue, Walsh did not do his Homework and made the mistake, so he gets the blame. Deal with it.

You're free to root for our young guys (so do I) but don't be a homer and tell me we did not make mistakes.
