Don't get offended. It's one thing to be optimistic, it's another to have common sense. Why not THINK before you throw out a wild unrealistic trade scenario? You know Lee is a FA. Why would a team trade their All Star for him, if they know in a few months they can sign him outright?

And besides this blog have you ever heard a single other report about a team being interested in Wilson Chandler? Apparently Chandler must be an MVP candidate if he can get so much in return. The dude plays well every 2-3 games. He has a low basketball IQ. He's not really good at any one thing. He's ok at a lot of things.

Come on dude.

People Like You Crack Me Up. Like You Know What Other GM's are thinking just because all you can do is point out our players flaws.
When Did I ever say that deal would work anyway it was a question?
Dont take your frustration out on me or other optimistic fans.

I obviously love Patrick Ewing, and always have rooted for him.

However, I don't want him to get a coaching job in the New York metropolitan area. This potential situation can't help but remind me of the Willis Reed situation--he wasn't as successful in coaching/GMing in stints with the Knicks and Nets as he was as a player and his legacy took a bit of a hit for it.

I don't want something like that to happen to Ewing, who already has a slightly shaky reputation because of his icy relationship with the media and his failure to lead the Knicks to a championship. If he fails as a coach in New York's backyard....Ewing will lose a lot of credibility.

And just because so many NBA legends have failed at coaching, I have to assume that there's a decent chance of Ewing struggling early on his coaching career--especially in a bad situation like Nets have (unless they make a big free agency splash...but there are no guarantees).

That's why if Ewing does get a job I'd hope it's somewhere far away from here... like Minnesota or Sacramento or somewhere like that.

You guys are so ungrateful! Walsh delayed his retirement to grace New York with his return and bring integrity and respectability to the Knick organization. He's gotten 3 steals in the draft in his short tenure here. Trust me Jordan Hill will show he's just as good if not better than Blake Griffin once he beats Jeffries and Lee out for minutes in the rotation. Lee was supposed to be on the All-Star team last year, he's going to be tough to beat out of the lineup. Douglas is better than Brandon Jennings, Ty Lawson and Jrue Holiday put together. He just needs to get some time on the floor and learn the point guard position, Gallinari is going to be 10x better than Beasley and Miami is going to be kicking themselves for not taking him 1st overall by next year this time.

Be patient fans!

There is no better GM in the world, Walsh invented modern General Managing in the NBA as we know it today. He was cheated out of multiple championships while in Indiana. You'll see when he gets Executive of the Year the next 5 years in a row.

Signing Jason Williams, Jamaal Tinsley or Allen Iverson to one year deals would have taken minutes from our soon to be star players and would have adversely affected the 2010 plan.

C'mon man be patient. Walsh knows what he's doing. He didn't have a feel for those players' games.
