good show with will the other night and a good interview with larry tonight. lets get it friday, big big game. idk how most you guys feel about this but out of all our expiring contracts i honestly would love to have larry houghs and al harrington back on the squad next year. I love the passion in al’s game and i also love how he takes it to the hoop. Larry plays solid defense and is really one of the best players on this team as of now (i kow thats not saying much) and i truly believe that al and larry could be great role players on a decent team (whether its coming off the bench or starting). Also, rice balls should talk a lil more hip hop on the shows, imma huge fan and clearly he knows his shit. WU tang is forever ppl remember this!!!

Yea, Al is proving that he is a very good player. He always had enormous “talent” and “potential”, but just seemed too inconsistent and lacked smarts, but it seems like he is really embracing playing for D’Antoni and starting to hone in on his skills. he is realizing that he is one of the most lethal forwards off the dribble in the league. No PF’s can guard him on the perimeter, and he’s starting to understand when to shoot the three and when not to. He would be an amazing piece to have signed on as a complement for no-too-much money. I honestly think Harrington is better than anyone on the cavs. (besides lebron)

yes! one hundred percent agree…lets face it mo williams is a good player and a great shooter but he really is no true point guard. And who knows if hed even be an allstar without playing along side lebron. Al is so great off the dribble, there arent many pf;s who can stay with him. it also seems as if al is the type of guy who would take a slight pay cut to continue to play for the greatest city in the world (especially if we turn it around next year and the years to come). Put it this way i want more players like al on the team who understand what it means to wear orange and blue (something that not one player in the last 6-8 years understood). When was the last time knicks fans (including myself) saw a player throw up the new york to the fans on his jersey (al does this almost every game)…i also hope larry can somehow be a role player for a few years to come, i like his game, he plays solid defense…there are many many players that i was embarrassed about being knicks in the last decade and harrington and larry are not those guys!

  • Jeff Cykiert

And the sad part is that Al and hughes could have been those guys we all hated if they were here for zeke. They are the typical volume shooters who tend to play one-on-one too much, especially if there is no team concept and no team mentality. But now they are really buying into what we are trying to do and we are maximizing both of their value’s.

For all those who say Mike D is a bad coach because he doesn’t know how to play to players strengths.. Well… first i would point to marion and ask you to explain to me how he was a 20-10 guy under D’Antoni and a 12-8 guy everywhere else. Mike loves the athletic wings, even if they lack skills (that’s probably why he would LOVE to have tyrus thomas).

Then i would point to harrington, who is playing like an allstar, flat out. And lee who is turning into one of the most efficient 20-10 guys in the league… Or to hughes who has revived his career after several years of people thinking he was washed up.

Or to nate… haha i duno, maybe this will actually teach him a lesson. Imagine if he comes back all mature and plays defense.

    Found an interesting stat.

one of hollingers stats, EWA, (estimated wins added) uses his PER combined with usage rates and minutes… Here is the list of the top 13 players so far this year. The names are pretty telling.

    LeBron
Bosh (which is ironic because their team hasn’t won much, so that means everyone else on the squad is doing jack)
    dirk
    carmelo
    wade
    Kobe
    Durant
    Dwight
    Duncan
    CP3
    Nash
    Boozer

and DAVID LEE… That is some good company, and you can’t say his value is inflated by the system because this stat accounts for that. i don’t think anybody could argue against the fact that the top 12 are the among top 15 players in the league at least.

Galo is 63rd, which is actually pretty good if you think about 30 teams. Stats are fun.

Kobe was robbed by five man in his house. They attacked a few of his guest. Three of the five were captured.

Hughes is playing for a contract, if not, he probably be hurt.

  • joetheknick

Does anyone believe either Harrington or Hughes would sign for 6 million per for 3 years. Need their level of support for a super star signing don’t we?

how much are they making now?

D Lee is a beast offensively. Great finisher, great passer, relatively good shot selection, intelligent player, great rebounder…
