Game Thread: Knicks at Wizards

by Tommy Dee on February 26th, 2010 at 7:24 pm

Not much to say, but play by play thoughts should go here…

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

doug was wide open an Al chuckshots doesn’t pass it to him

  • Jack D

Earl Boykins looks like the small players from NBA Jam.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

arenas just entered the game for the wiz with his new look

  • Knicks4life

Lol. The Knicks have worn Tommy out. No more declarations of sleepers or playoff dreams, or Gallo being the next franchise player.

  • ds2488

Holy crap. Damn. Walker has crazy hops.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    lmao

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

he does wait until u see him dunk it from the other side of the backboard

  • Hustle

Man, we could use a good defender with blocking ability. Someone like this guy:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woAnHUPQWMA

  • Knicks4life

Maybe with Singleton out we can actually beat the Wizards.

    Man we suck. Lol.

  • gdaibes

i like that d’antoni is rotating 2 of his normal rotation guys along with 3 young/new guys. tony/house/walker/tmac/nunchuckkets. lets see what they can do. BILL SKYWALKER!!! FLUSHES IT! KID IS DIRTY

  • Knicks4life

How about instead of Walker trying to throw a highlight alley oop on the fast break we run a traditional fast break with either Walker or a guard stopping at the freethrow line?

Oh yeah I forgot we are the New York Globetrotters, traveling and dunking on every other possession.

  • Hydr0

our record is closer to the washington generals

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

is it me or does the knicks miss JJ an they suck a little more since the trade..

    lmao

  • Hustle

Man, I feel like I’m watching a pickup game at the park with players trying to go coast to coast and attempting horrible fadeaways. Just awful.

  • ds2488

Just awful. Its so comical how bad Chucketts is at this point. Does the coach notice this? I love the offense too. Give Gallo and Chandler the damn ball or just bench them at this point before their confidence reaches rock bottom. Just crazy.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    m mill is going off

  • Knicks4life

Unless we get two max players I can’t see who is going to come to the Knicks by themselves.

We really suck . . . being blown out by the Wizards? WIthout Arenas or Josh Howard?

I can’t even use the excuse that the guys on our team haven’t played together that long because I’m not sure anyone on the Wiz would be starting on any other team in the NBA. Even the Nets.

  • nyknicksfan

does anyone know if mobley’s contract is off the books?
and why dont we bring someone up from the d-league(even if its not a big man hope it is) and see how it works out?

  • gdaibes

i posted this on an older post, but by the time i posted it, the thread was burried…

Since we’re throwing around potential rosters…

    53.2
PG – Raymond Felton (6.0) Sergio Rodruigez (2.0) Tony Douglas (1.1)
    SG – Tracy McGrady (2.0) Bill Walker (1.0) J.R. Giddens (1.0)
SF – Lebron James (16.5) Wilson Chandler (2.1)
PF – Danillo Gallinari (3.3) Ben Wallace (1.0)
    C – Brendan Haywood (6.0) Eddy Curry (11.2)

Surrounding LeBron with a solid line-up, i think, is better than trying to sign 2 max and surrounding them with scrubs. This, I think is a playoff team.

And it is also a pretty big team. No more giving up height at each position. Sergio and Will coming off the bench bringing that high energy. Ben Wallace lurking on the bench, watching Danillo and Haywood’s back, in case we need a big defender in the post.

Then in 2011 they will have 10 mil to play with.

  • the oak

Al Harrington somehow ends up on the ground every time he drives to the basket.

  • JASONHAYES

I feel the same way. This isn’t organized ball. This is a pick up game.
    WHO GOT NEXT?

  • Hustle

If the Knicks can get their act together, play some perimeter defense and quit giving up so many turnovers, they can still win this one.

  • JASONHAYES

Its sad, that a player like Mcgrady is not even 100%, and he’s our best player. This guy is scoring at will, with a broken leg! Smdh! Do the other players suck that bad? GALLO SUCKS! I cant stand watching him anymore. Real Talk!

  • Knicks4life

Why would Raymond Felton take 6 mil when he turned down more than that from the Bobcats last summer.

I think T Mac will take a discount but 2 mil? I hope so but doubt it.

    Ben Wallace?

The Mavs can and likely will sign Haywood for more than $6mil. If they don’t some other team I’m sure will be willing to do a sign and trade with the Mavs that will pay him more than $6mil.

At this point I think our only hope is two max or slightly below max free agents from (Wade, LBJ, bosh, Dirk, Amare, Boozer, Johnson) some solid drafting in the 2nd round and a few veteran minimum and undrafted rookie or d-league signings.

If we end up with Gay, Bosh, and Felton I think this franchise is in serious trouble because we have no draft picks coming for the forseeable future.

I like the way you are thinking but I just don’t see those guys taking such a discount to come to the Knicks.

  • x-man

    Bullseye! lol

  • Knicks4life

Wins are nice but at this point I just want to see effort and defense. Something to build on for next year.

  • x-man

Well, you can’t blame it all on RalpheAL tonite. He went to the white house earlier today where the 1st family served Pizza and showed the “Secret of the Ooze” in the movie theater. That surely loosen him up got him out of his shell.

So he’s more juiced now than usual!

RalpheAL is gonna come thru in the 2nd half. You’ll all be screaming “CowaBunga” before the end of thegame!

  • x-man

No shell, it throws off his balance on quick movements! just saying!

  • Hustle

Who’s gonna build on it though, most of the team ain’t gonna be here next year lol

  • x-man

What about the coach? He’s the one who killed Gallo’s confidence and game.

  • x-man

That’s what you think! I’m seeing 2011-12 as the next great big plan date as next season nears.

  • JASONHAYES

lmao…..good one! That “cowabunga time” is hilarious!

    I LOVE BEING A TUURRRTTTLLLEEE!!!

  • gdaibes

How much do you think felton will be getting on the open market this summer in a league that after last year’s draft is PG heavy? i dont think much over 6, but then again, i dont get to see him play much, so I only know him as well as his stat sheet.

i feel u on the haywood situation, especially since you know mark cuban is catching wood at the idea of finally having a legit presence in the paint. but then, we can could always go for camby for 2-3 mil and give ur boy felton the extra $$ he wants.

i know, that there are some pieces of that potential roster that wouldnt work, but my point was more to illustrate that we have options other than 2 max FAs.

BUT going back to your point… what if we sign the 2 max FAs and then with currys money sign some role players to fill in the holes…

lol i guess the overall theme that we all should recognize is that we actually have options, which is more than we could have said for ourselves 2 years ago. as long as free agency is handled responsibly, we’re in good shape.

  • Ashton

    YES!

  • x-man

LOL, It sure didn’t help Duhon did it?

  • Knicks4life

Just checked the stats and with 4:45 to go in the 3rd qtr Gallo is 3/4. He has to be more aggressive.

  • SilentJay

Damn, I’ve been on and off the Dallas-Atlanta game, it’s really nice to see some organized basketball (with real playmaking), strong and disciplined D, and actually fighting for rebounds on both ends.

  • JASONHAYES

    GALLO IS A BUST!!
DAVID WONT PLAY D, TO SAVE HIS LIFE!
TMAC IS THE BEST PLAYER ON KNICKS, WITH A BROKEN LEG! SMDH

  • x-man

Gallo’s a broken man! peanut Britlle is quite effective we he takes the ball inside but that little Vince Carter is dying to get out and shoot from the perimeter. Our coach has to tell him that he needs to keep finding ways to take the ball in the paint. He doesn’t have the lift anymore but he’s still elusive inside.

  • Knicks4life

I thought Tractor Traylor did that?

  • JASONHAYES

Hell no, and im glad it didnt. I never wanna see him again!

  • ds2488

Its crazy how bad their defense is. Did anyone just see Lee’s “effort” on that last layup by Blatche. He did absolutely nothing, not even putting his hands up and pretending to give an effort. Just crazy how the Wizards can get an easy layup whenever they want. Great shot selection from House as per usual.

  • x-man

lol. We let “HaS” address Lee’s expertise in that area!

  • Knicks4life

The Knicks are about to give up 110+ points to a Wiz team that is lucky to score 90 on a given night.

Here is my issue, even if you have a bunch of new guys who have never played together you can still play hard D. Your offensive rythem might be off, and you might not be able to play a complicated zone but you can play hard nosed physical defense and stay in games until the 4th qtr.

I don’t know what this is that i’m watching but it is not a team fighting for every possession and every loose ball as they play for new contracts.

  • ds2488

    lol true.

  • gdaibes

    hes looking for his nunchucks

  • SilentJay

If your coach actually addressed defense sometime during practices, maybe that could happen. This goes for motivation and all those silly things a coach should instill on a team. Maybe my idea of coaching is completely insane.
Instead of watching tapes of Larry Bird, Gallo could make himself useful and ask Dirk how much to work out in the gym to get tough first.

  • JASONHAYES

Gallo killed himself! Too passive. Gotta go get the ball. Have to demand the ball. Then when you get the ball do something else besides shoot threes. Problem with Gallo is he’s one dimesional. Threes and thats it. Horrible at man to man. Occasionally plays good help defense, but thats it. Not strong enough to drive to the basket in traffic, and not strong enough to rebound in the paint. So he could never play the PF!

  • x-man

LOL, David Stern made him clear them from his locker after the Gilbert Arenas incident…shell too!

  • JASONHAYES

ITS COWABUNGA TIME YALL!!!!!!!! HE DRANK THE OOZE!

  • x-man

lol, Yep, that didn’t help either!

  • gdaibes

McGee and Blatche should go on Maury Povitch and get a DNA test because they both are lookin’ like David Lee’s daddys right now.

  • ds2488

Oh No please No!!!! If he hits one more its PIZZA POWER TIME. Pepperoni for the whole team. Which means no one else is touching the ball the rest of the night. Foot Clan BE ON ALERT

  • Hustle

As bad as Harrington is at times, he’s keeping us in this game. Mike D’Antoni needs to be a better Master Splinter and reign Al in so that he plays more in control.

  • Knicks4life

Been watching Gallo’s defense alot. He actually isn’t as bad at man to man defense as I originally thought/expected.

He just isn’t quick enough to play on the perimiter on offense and is not strong enough yet to play PF. So he has to shoot tough threes or do really tough drive moves to the basket.

Hopefully this summer he puts on muscle or his back becomes 100% and he shows more mobility and get actually get around people.

  • JASONHAYES

THATS RIGHT GALLO! HARD FOULS! NOTHING EASY!

  • ds2488

Bless Gallo for that foul. David Lee and Al Chucketts, Are you watching?

  • Hustle

I think the Knicks got this one. Keep the lead and let Tmac take over in the final minutes as long as he has the gas.

  • ds2488

LOL. Chucketts can not pass the ball LOL a mile over Houses head.

  • JASONHAYES

LMAO….CAN SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE A YOUTUBE PARODY, WITH THE NINJA TURTLES AND THE KNICKS PLEASE!!

  • JASONHAYES

Please Gallo make me a believer again!! Please Gallo!

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    how bout that gillan dunk?

  • Hustle

Great drive by Gallo. This has been one of his better games recently, hopefully it means he’ll be back to form.

  • JASONHAYES

    We’ll see!

  • gdaibes

    hahahaha

  • Knicks4life

By the way I’m watching the Mavs/Hawks no way Cuban lets Haywood go. He is perfect next to Dirk.

And that is how you build a team. Get a franchise player then build around him. You have a shooter and great versatile PF in Dirk. You get a PG and wing defenders to play next to him. A big physical center to play next to him and then with you late first round picks you draft smart players that fill needs on your team.

Hope the Knicks are taking notes.

  • JASONHAYES

Cowabunga time, is going nut right now!! Obama should have never greeted Al by name. Thanks Obama, you opened up the can of ooze! smh

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

if t-cracked knees can’t play a whole game play him when the team needs him

  • JASONHAYES

    Walker in over Mcgrady?

  • ds2488

Nice offensive possession Sergio. That brings fond memories back of Suckhon just dribbling side to side for 20 seconds. Hey Gallo, you might want to make a move for the ball.

  • x-man

lol Yeah! Willis Reed! You understand Turtle power Little Shaft!.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

t-crack knee might come in now

    lmao

  • JASONHAYES

Knicks know how to lose. I tell ya, its the same story every game. Never gets old!

  • ds2488

Lol. This may be the worst Knick team I have ever seen. They are so freaking bad in every crunch time, its incredible. Sergio is just doing the same thing Suckhon does, while Gallo and Chandler just stand off to the side and watch. Dantoni, now would be a great time to coach and call a play for one of those two, instead of just watching the pg dribble aimlessly while every one else stands there. Just ridiculous.

  • x-man

I told ya! You know what happens when you let Peanut Brittle get cold!

Our coach anti-win strategy is being perfected each day! The smartest and most talented guy on the team stays glued to the bench!

  • JASONHAYES

Lol….yea but he needs to chill out!

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    mos def

  • Hustle

man, neither team seems like they wanna win

Harrington’s the only player that seems to wanna keep playing tonight lol

  • ds2488

They are so going to lose. They miss every big free throw. They are so ridiculously bad.

  • Knicks4life

Win or lose you really have to wonder how we gave up 110+(?) points to the Wizards without Arenas, having traded Jamison, Haywood and Butler, and w/o Josh Howard. It is almost unbelievable.

For all you guys clowning Harrington we get blown out tonight if he is not playing. Chandler and Gallo are not ready to carry the load (pun intended) and T Mac just can’t give significant minutes.

  • x-man

If only he had 1 Napolean slice nearby, this game would be guaranteed a win for us!

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

do u think he puts t-crak knee in now for the winnin shot or he goes to lee?

  • x-man

Well, he drawing up a play so that’s not good for us!

  • Hustle

OK D’antoni, there’s only 25 secs left. Please put Knee Mac in.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    O.T? OR THE WIZ WINS?

  • x-man

Like I said! Some things you can depend on! Nice to know that T-mac can sit peacefully with Duhon though!

  • gdaibes

    Knicks Offensive Formual =

Ingredients: PG, David Lee, Pick and Roll, 3 other guys, & quick off balance shot

Step 1: Add 1 tsp PG to 1 tsp David Lee
Step 2: mix vigorously with 20 seconds of pick and roll
Step 3: Crack one quick off balance shot
Step 4: Let all other ingredients stand.

  • RR

WTF he traceled before they called T.O!

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

do u think he’s better at drawing animated charactors since he can’t draw up plays?

    lmao

  • Knicks4life

That wasn’t a bad play. Just a great defensive effort by McGhee.

McGrady better be hurt by the way, because that is the kind of situation we brought him here for.

  • RR

    I mean traveled

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

he had the ez pass they don’t call that

  • Knicks4life

Overtime with the Wiz . . .gotta love it.

  • ds2488

Lol. Its so terrible. Give the ball to Gallo, he’s 4 of 5 and driving well to the basket.

  • x-man

lol He has his 5 favorite Nash plays drawn up and they all read “GET ‘ER DONE”! I wonder which one he gave to our squad tonite?

  • RR

T Mac is not in game shape yet… He has only played 25 mins but damn he should be in the game for the last 2 min you would think.

  • Hustle

No reason why we shouldn’t win this one. Singleton out, Miller out, Thornton out.

  • x-man

Or coach needs to be knocked out!

  • Knicks4life

Maybe if enough Wiz players foul out the Knicks will be able to beat the Wiz assistant coaches?

Actually i think I see Sam Cassell over there, forget it.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

is T-crak knee going to see o.t minutes?

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

only 2pts has been scored in o.t dammnnn

  • Hustle

Ahahahahaha what the heck am I watching?

  • Knicks4life

Did I just see al harrington shoot the ball backwards?

  • x-man

Aaah Man! RalpheAL didn’t eat enough Pizza at the white house for OT!

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    ok here comes Double O.t

  • ds2488

Lol. This is what happens when Al Chucketts is your go-to-guy. He will fail you every game at the end when you are counting on him. He is so bad. It would also help if the coach would call one play for Gallo or Chandler. So freaking bad.

  • Hustle

Wizards held to 0 points in OT thanks to quality Knicks defense led by David Lee!

  • SilentJay

Dallas-Atlanta. Wow. Dallas made a huge comeback to win it in OT without their full team. Watching them playing is a luxury in comparison to the team I love’s D and offensive set

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

mcgee is playing in the kids playground

    lmao

  • ds2488

All Lee has to do is pick his head up and swing that to a wide open Gallo. People are learning very well from Al Chucketts. Look up and pass the ball when there are 3 guys on you.

  • Knicks4life

Cmon be fair AL kept us in this one and should NEVER be your go to guy.

Blame Walsh for that with the trades and drafting.

  • x-man

lmao! Yep, he has more blocks than lego!

  • ds2488

thats exactly what I’m saying. Everytime you rely on Al as your primary scorer he will fail you.

  • Knicks4life

Isn’t Lee supposed to be our all star? Isn’t Gallo supposed to be the franchise

Why are Eddie House and Al Harrington taking shots at the end? Why is lee passing up 16ftrs and not even looking at the rim. The Wiz bigs are just dropping way off him.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

knicks got a kit kat bar rite there

  • Knicks4life

Ok here we go . . . 12.6 seconds. Has D’ANonit learned ANYTHING. Will the Knicks foul to prevent the three.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

i’m sensing the wiz get a 4pt play coming up

  • ds2488

its ridiculous how bad their playcalling is. Its still the same lets just watch the pg try and run a pick and roll with the big and everyone else stand on the perimeter and not move. Coach has to call better plays..its embarrassing.

  • Knicks4life

Lol. I f*&king HATE this coach.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    knew it double O.T

  • x-man

lmao! They didn’t foul McGee who had the ball! this coach should be fired tonite…..NOW!

  • ds2488

Lol. So hilarious. Are they trying to lose at this point? Mcgee is holding the ball begging to be fouled and sent to the line, where he just missed one. LOl.

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

u think the wiz get a steal rite here?

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

d-lee value just went to mars

  • RR

Finally Lee makes a big shot!

  • Hustle

    lol what an awful game

  • ds2488

Wow did not expect that. Big shot for Lee.

  • Knicks4life

Finally, D’Anonti calls a play for his best offensive player with the last shot.

Here come the Walsh and D’Anonti lovers . . .

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

lee will get paid 15-20 mill this summer
some team will give him that

  • x-man

Yep, Thx God we got away with this game for a win. We really suck period! Oh well, we have two spankings coming tomorrow and Monday!

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    dvj is on his way

  • gdaibes

    clutch

  • blackwood

wow did somebody other then Al attack the basket?? I mean this is a D league game so im kinda shocked they actually drove to the basket looking to score not just contact!!

  • Knicks4life

Were you watching the game? Lee was awful down the stretch until that final shot . . . cmon DaGawD

  • x-man

That wasn’t a called play. Lee just put his head down and took it to the rim…against their best shot blocker.

We got lucky but I give Lee credit for taking it to the hoop instead of settling for a perimeter shot. That’s what McGrady should have been in the game to do as well.

Like it stated before, we got 2 spankings coming tomorrow and Monday!

  • blackwood

awwww shiiiit between the T-wack and winning the game im now sure donnie alzheimer’s is going to give him 10 mil lol

  • JASONHAYES

I hate this Friday night Knicks song! This is not the hill billy country! Give me some hip hop or something!

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

i think if lee can get more of those he could win games for the knicks.

but your rite that wasn’t a set play that was ima do me play

  • feedspreeskids

So we won, thanks to superhero Bill Russel Jr. But did anyone on here doubt that the Wizards were gonna hit a three to tie it? I really think even D’Antoni knew they were gonna tie.

  • Knicks4life

    WTF!!!

  • x-man

Come on Knickslife, Lee just became max player! He gave up max pts in the paint, he got max shots blocked and he hit the last shot to give us max pts. That spells MAX PLAYA!

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

c-mon man u know that was a joke

but don’t be suprised if lee gets 15

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    lol.thats word like scramble

  • Knicks4life

It was a set play you could tell the way everybody cleared out of the lane.

Plus D. Lee just said the coach called an iso for him

  • giantg

when you’re hating so hard you stop thinking. Low IQ players are on the court (in this case Bill Walker) and should have fouled McGee. There is no part of a game that has less to do with coaching than free throw shooting. If they made SOME the game would have been over long ago; The Knick players were horrible down the stretch. Hate losing not the coach.

  • x-man

Well good night all! RalpheAL should have been the hero in regulation and I was gonna order a pizza pie to celebrate but that got killed. Tomorrow is another day! Enjoy!

  • Knicks4life

Gallo was invisible down the stretch. Absolutely invisible

  • RR

Prop’s for MD calling that iso for lee. Still don’t understand why they did not foul Mcgee behind the 3pt line with his back to the basket. Every coach and player are scared of a 4pt play but he was not in a position to shoot. Mcgee is a bad free throw shooter as well.

At least the Knicks got the W

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

he has been for the past 30 games

  • Knicks4life

    Tommy?

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

T-crak knee will get the max

  • DaGawD_KnowLedge

    lol
    thats hard to believe man

lee just giving props to his coach knowing the coach didn’t call that

he calls plays like u seen all year..

  • akdrum

Gallo is getting soft and LAZY
    one dunk.Ooooooooo!!!
no offensive rebounds or put backs-maybe he should focus on that other than waiting for the ball- I think MD’A plays himbecause Gallos dad is his bud.
    he’ll be traded this summer w Curry.Watch
    or bench player.
how many more loses is it going to take till a “Fire D’Antoni” blog and game chant starts?
    No D.
We were warned by Steve Kerr…
    Its starting
when we get all the new players and have the first losing streak then its bye bye.
MD’A doesnt have Steve Nash to make him look good-
    and Al Buckets…man Oman…cowabunga!!! S.U.C.K….

  • Knicks4life

I saw it in that post game interview. In coach’s body language and tone.

    The Isiah Thomas.

The coach has given up on the season, on developing the players, on coaching defense. He is just waiting unitl July 1, 2010.

Tmac is the only reason left to watch this team.

  • giantg

Down the stretch both Lee and Chandler had their shots blocked going to the rim, Harrington got the charge calll when he tried to force it inside, House missed a few shots from outside and McGrady was on the bench with no legs. Did you ever stop and think, “this team doesn’t have playmakers?” This is what that looks like in crunch time. With no options left D’Antoni called an ISO for Lee. That is a tough call with McGee’s athleticism and height advantage but there were no other compelling options…

We have to stop whining and looking to fire someone and just deal with the facts. The team is a 20 win team 17 games below .500, and the game is played by the players.

  • jg1170

In the post game MD just said it was an ISO play for Lee at the end.

And he also said that for the last 5 to 6 mins they were running the offense thru Lee, he was playing the Point Forward.

  • CircleLimit4

Lol have you guys heard of isolation plays or is it just too painful to give D’antoni an iota of credit.

  • DVJ

    Stay Patient My Friends

  • blackwood

Where are the donnie alzheimer’s guys? I want to hear again how not drafting the center was the right move lol….CP3 is waiting for us to send gallo,Chandler,TD & the EC contract over there for him this summer!!! Wade was never an option, Lebron maaan as much as I would like to see him on my team I think he may not even opt out and ride it out one more year with the team he has! After that who? Bosh? Naaa he will be on the heat with Wade or on the bulls with Wade and Rose. That means use the cap space in a smart way (since donnie alzheimer’s has no clue how to draft lol) and get a stud from a team in need of a salary dump!

On the same subject Rudy Fernandez has been thinking of fleeing to spain because he is not happy how he is being used by the blazers! I am telling you a younger or more creative GM would have the vision to fill out the team in a way to make it worth coming to! Now a back court of CP3 & Rudy would definitely make a stud FA take us seriously!

I dont mean to go of subject about this game but after watching this D-league game I had to ask myself “if I where LBJ would i leave my team for this one?”

  • DVJ

“Gallo is getting soft and LAZY
    one dunk.Ooooooooo!!!
no offensive rebounds or put backs-”

Hey Buddy…how about those 4 blocks he had?

    “he’ll be traded this summer w Curry.Watch
    or bench player.”

I actually think Chandler will be traded with Curry but we’ll see.

“how many more loses is it going to take till a “Fire D’Antoni” blog and game chant starts?”

Are you serious? Then what? Hire someone to come in here and coach 20 something games this year and then look like a hall of fame coach when we get him horses?

“when we get all the new players and have the first losing streak then its bye bye.”

What is your definition of a losing streak? 2 games? 5 games?

    I’m just saying playa…..

  • bigblew

wow what a game, hard to remember what a win is like. h

  • DVJ

“Wade was never an option, Lebron maaan as much as I would like to see him on my team I think he may not even opt out and ride it out one more year with the team he has! After that who? Bosh? Naaa he will be on the heat with Wade or on the bulls with Wade and Rose.”

    Huh?

    And you know this how?

“I dont mean to go of subject about this game but after watching this D-league game I had to ask myself “if I where LBJ would i leave my team for this one?”

Thank God that decision is not in your hands.

    I’m just saying playa

  • gordons18

man, i been thinkin about that too @ blackwood. CP is definitely a real target with Eddy’s expiring, I think if we could definitely land him, Bosh would consider coming here. that would be a great duo.

  • DVJ

Get used to them bigblew, they’ll be a lot more of those next season.

Wait till we get some players up in here.

By the way, cool nickname man.

  • gordons18

dude, Wade ain’t comin to NY…lol…stop getting your hopes up, that guy loves miami he doesn’t want to rep NY like that.

  • DVJ

Wow, I know CP3 is a great PG and all but would you really send that package for him?

If you think Donnie is going to have trouble filling out the roster as it is now, imagine he has 3 players less to work with than what he has now?

    Although..

    CP3
    T-Mac
    Lebron
    Bosh
    ??? (not sure)

For the bench we can always go with:
    Knicks4life
    DVJ
    Blackwood

    I’m just saying playa

  • DVJ

dude, where did I say Wade is coming to NY?

  • blackwood

Please tell me when Wade was going to be a legit option for us dvj?? He has said out of his own mouth he does not see himself playing for the Knicks! But let me guess you think he is sitting in south beach where he is the man sayin “I cant wait to be Lebrons lil man” lol STOP IT!! Those 2 alpha dogs will only team up for gold metals & all star games! Read ask around the only place you hear Wade’s name with the Knicks is on this blog lol…..Yea im not Lebron but im not a fool ether, watch the damn teams! I have seen that same Cav team bust our ass with LBJ on the damn bench not to forget there a top defense in this league!! I know its been a while but you do remember team defense dont you? “I’m just sayin playa!”

  • RR

I posted late last night 3 potential players that the Knicks can realistically get for Curry’s expiring & Chandler:

    According to nba insiders:

Monta Ellis- already was being shopped before deadline. The Warriors have S Curry to take his place and would love a athletic 6-8 young cheap wing player. They always dump players and will move him for and expiring contract. Ellis makes 11mil thru 2013-14.

Gilbert Arenas- Washington dumped Jamison for expiring & a late 1st rd pick. We all no the baggage and huge contract.

Baron Davis- will demand trade if Clips don’t bring in big FA’s this summer. Plus he play for the Clips enough said.

    I want Monta in NY!!!

  • DVJ

“Please tell me when Wade was going to be a legit option for us dvj?? ”

How would I know playa? I never said he was. I was only replying to you coming out saying he wasn’t going to play for us? I was just asking, how do you know this? It’s cool for you to think he’s not coming but nobody else can think he’s coming? Wow…that’s playing a little unfair no?

I seem to remember Shaq saying he wasn’t going anywhere when he was in Orlando. (during his contract year)
    Next thing you know…..Kazam!!!
    He’s in Hollywood.

I think that was the name of his movie lol.

    Help me out playa.
    You remember that movie?

  • blackwood

CP3 happens to be the best PG in the game! ask around!! A great PG makes avarge Joe guys look great! Why are you set on having T-wack on the team?? yuck!! I know donnie set us back a few years with trash drafting but yea I make that trade in a NY min!! Then since we have Lee’s bird rights we sign and trade his ass to fill out some more spots like to the blazers for Rudy or something of that nature (just an example) So yea CP3 & Bosh or CP3 and LBJ would be crazy with say a rudy or a Ginobili and some young dudes from the D-league to crash the boards on the cheap. In the end when you can get the best PG in the game your team automaticly becomes more attractive Let me think if im a superstar do i want to play with Gallo or CP3? hmmmmm lmao shiiiit thats not even a question it just sounded funny to read lol.

  • blackwood

I would not look in to any of those guys before trying for CP3…I respect where your going with that but Davis is Mr.back trouble I love his game and all but he may be on his last legs!

    Arenas same issue!

Ellis he is cool but that could be a way to go but only after giving your best effort for CP3 plus I would not offer as much for him.

  • RR

If I had a choice of course I would go for CP3 just not sure we have enough players to get them to give him up. I honestly would consider trading the 4 players you mentioned but if I had a choice of trading just Chandler and Curry for Monta then I would go for Monta.

The warriors always get screwed on there trades just think about C Web a while back and Steven Jackson this year. Also I have heard no rumors of CP3 being availabe Ellis is.

With my proposed trade we get a really good combo guard and keep Gallo & TD which we need on this already small roster.

  • DVJ

“CP3 happens to be the best PG in the game! ask around!! ”

    Ask around where? New Orleans?

  • DVJ

    Come on playa.

  • ds2488

Yes. Thats my point. There is no semblance of any plays called, its just people running around trying to get shots. Because this team doesn’t have a playmaker, they can’t afford to run that type of offense. There needs to be more disciplined playcalling, not just everyone do what they want.

  • akdrum

might be right about Chandler & Curry-

Gallo gets a few blocks…Ok- big deal- what about the other games? No blocks..
On offense you see how he just stands there..
    does NOTHING!!! watch tomorrow.
prediction:Bench player in 2010-11-traded or contract not renewed. (Hey, I hope im wrong)
    In regards to D’Antoni- next year..wait and see-9-10 L’s
FYI- remember when Buck Showalter had all the horses in 95 then Joe Torre took over the Yankees in 96? Torre was the better player coach, better at getting results-If MD’A doesn’t get results w the horses -bring in a young college coach or someone thats hungry.

Defense is key- offense is just icing…
    Kerr knew dude

    right back atcha playa

  • bob go knicks

you all have obviously run out of things to say!

  • Knicks4life

I have a killer jumpshot and will play for $500,000.

  • Jack D

that nick name is hilarious lol

  • Jack D

    lol

  • Jack D

    God I fu***** love D’Antoni and Walsh….

  • giantg

ds, Those were plays, unfortunately they couldn’t execute. Just because the players were unsuccessful doesn’t mean they weren’t plays. Ironically, when Larry Brown was in town folks were down on him for constantly calling plays. The rap being that he didn’t allow the players to be spontaneous enough…

Being a critic of the Knicks is like shooting fish in a barrel. Just ask Marc Berman, he is the best at finding the critical angle and passing it off as a legit beef. Don’t, don’t, don’t believe the (negative) hype…

  • x-man

    lmao!
